Family OwnedWhen we say Mitchell Laminates is a family owned business, we mean just that. Manyyears ago (in 1949 to be precise), Alex Mitchellstarted a family business in Flinders Street,Melbourne, known as Payntfast Pty.Ltd. PeterMitchell joined his father in the business in1955. In 1957, they developed a cut-to-sizeLaminex business. Today, four family members,

Graham Henderson, Brett Mitchell, MarcusMitchell and Shane Mitchell work directlywithin the Company, all sharing the samevision and passion for servicing their cutomersas Alex and Peter Mitchell had all those yearsago. Of course, Mitchell’s also has an extendedfamily of over 40 proud employees who similarlyshare in the Mitchell family vision and passionfor servicing the needs of customers.

Over the years, Mitchell Laminates has expanded to three locations and is now one ofthe largest independent distributors of bothLaminex and Formica branded laminates andpanel products in Australia.

Due to their superiorglass appearance and range of decorative colourand finish options, Alifrost® is now a muchsought after brand and Alifrost®products aresold nationally through a network of re-sellers.
