    CUBICLES

Neither says anything for a moment. They appear to haverecognized in each other a kinship, as if telepathically.Anna turns away. Frank stands there a moment, thestartled look then deep interest in his face graduallyabsorbed in some inner landscape.

    FRANKS CUBICLE

Later at his computer, he tries to concentrate but givesup, lost in thought again. A framed photograph of anattractive woman in her mid-20s (his deceased daughterLISA) is prominent on the desk.

    ANNA...M-my husband.

Frank cups his hand over hers on the tablecloth. Theireyes hold each others. The communion is broken when aWAITER arrives to take their order.

FRANKThere are plenty of us guiltyof that, Anna.

ANNAThats what Arturo said. Hehelped me learn everything Icould about them, what

combines the present and 16th Century. A LITTLE BOY of 8-10 and his younger SISTER are accompanied by mid-30sPARENTS. Ranks of soldiers with longbows andKalishnikovs, jesters, jugglers, musicians, perhaps a

bear led on a chain, stream past until the King in hiscoach approaches. A GASP goes through the crowd but isquickly stifled, as are the spectators expressions ofastonishment and the looks on the parents faces.

But the bafflement on the boys face intensifies as helooks from the coach to his parents and sister, the facesof everyone around him. Theyre all completely neutral, waiting to learn how theyre to respond. His sister giveshim a sidelong glance to determine his reaction). As theKings coach draws nearer, a TRUMPET FANFARE and

announcement by the Kings ATTENDANT, who looks like hebelongs in a car commercial.

    ATTENDANTLoyal subjects, the Kings newclothes!

At last we see the King himself, and except for aluxuriant fur mantle about his shoulders, hes standingstark naked in the coach, hands on hips in the proud andfamiliar pose of King Henry VIII. A few tentative clapsfrom the crowd, then his cowed and loyal subjects alljoin in, somewhat dubiously at first but then eruptinginto loud sustained applause.

The boy cant believe this. He looks from the King to hisparents, who give him a warning shush, and finally despite his mothers futile attempt to cover his mouth blurts out:

    BOYBut hes naked!

Another GASP from the crowd, but louder, full ofsomething like horror this time. A man near the coach, part of security obviously, points to the boy. SeveralBlackwater goons run toward him.

DR. RAYMONDNo, that was FEMAs hypothesis,in 2002. The National Instituteof Standards and Technology, whose report in 2008 supersededFEMAs, stated that the damagefrom falling debris and I quotefrom their press release hadno effect on the collapse-initiating event. According toNIST, this was an unprecedentedfire-induced collapse. Thatseven harder to accept when youconsider that, compared to fires

PEGGYThey all are or were. The unionsays cancer deaths are off thecharts, across all ranks of thedepartment. Strapping, healthyyoung men, and women, in the primeof life. Now theyre a cancer ward.Leukemia, non-Hodgkins lymphoma, multiple myeloma...Ive becomequite the expert Im afraid.Myeloma usually occurs in the 60sand 70s, not in men in their 30sand 40s. PEGGYYes. He said cars parked along thecurb were blowing up, spontaneously.Hed never seen anything like it.

And he learned later, from otherfirefighters, that temperaturesbeneath the Trade Center were sohigh that soil and glass andstainless steel were evaporating just boiling away six weeksafter they collapsed. Temperaturesthe same as during the nuclearcore meltdown at Chernobyl.

    FRANK

So does Tom think he was exposed topossible nuclear contamination?

    Peggy just nods.ANITA

Chernobyl-level temperatures sixweeks after 9/11? Fireballs thatvaporize human beings? Seems likea strongpossibility to me.

ANITALois, tell Frank what we weretalking about earlier: thiswhole anti-Semitism" business.

LOISWe were discussing the confusionbetween Jews and Zionism thatsbeen instigated by the media inrelation to 9/11. Zionism isntpart of the Jewish religion; itsa nationalist movement thatsgone far beyond the founding of

Israel. There are many Jews invehement opposition to Zionistideology. Even Jews loyal toIsrael, Israelis and non-Israelisalike, are very much against the

been involved in 9/11 in some waydoesnt automatically make youan anti-Semite, regardless of whatAIPAC and the media claim.

FRANKWell of course. Im glad to hearyou say that. What about theMossad?

    LOIS

The Mossad no more speaks for Jewsthan the CIA does for Americans.Of any religion. Could they havebeen involved in some way? Iwouldnt be surprised. It sureas hell wasnt the skirt-chasingArab terrorists, most of themstill alive, who flew the planes. The CIA couldnt have managedit on their own. They couldnteven carry out the Kennedyassassination without bungling it.

MARILYNJews, Israelis, Zionists wereall being put in the same categorywhen it comes to 9/11. Even thoseof us who lost someone. Its sounfair.
