If you did not fill out your cap/gown/diploma order form, stop in the office. The form must be filled

out before your cap/gown/diploma can be ordered!

Scholarship Listing: The initial scholarship listing has been posted on ISD 361 website. The listing

is also available in the Guidance Office. New scholarships have been added!

Juniors:

Class Rings: FHS class rings can still be ordered at Borderland Jewelry.

Falls High School Information:

Prom 2020: Prom 2020 will be on Saturday, March 28th. The Prom theme this year will be “Roaring ‘20’s”.

The next Prom fundraiser this month will be the sale of butter braids.

Bronco Power Store: Check out the Bronco Power Store in the FHS office to spend your

power tickets. There is also a bookcase in Room #222 with a variety of books you can purchase using power tickets.

FHS Yearbooks: Yearbooks can be ordered online at www.jostensyearbooks.com or purchased in the FHS office for $65.

FHS Weight Room Schedule: The FHS weight room will be open for all students in the mornings and evenings. Monday, Tuesday & Thursday 6:30AM-8:00AM & 3:30PM-5:00PM

FHS Parking Stickers: In order to use the FHS Student Parking lot you must have a parking sticker. You

can stop in the FHS office to register your vehicle.

11th Street PARKING: Parking on the north side of 11th Street is for school guests only. Student parking is not permitted across from the school on 11th street during school hours. Students must park in the student parking lot.

SHOUT OUT: We will be doing the SHOUT OUT wall in the lobby this year. This will be a chance for kids to

give a “shout out” to other students and faculty. The SHOUT OUT forms and boxes are located in all the

English classrooms and the FHS office.

CAFETERIA REMINDER: All food is to be eaten in the Cafeteria. No food is allowed in the hallways.

DETENTION ~ may be served at 7:40am in the FHS office, during lunchtime in the FHS cafeteria, or after school in the FHS

library 3:30-4:20 pm.

Hats: Hats are not to be worn in the building during the school day.

Cell Phones: Cell phones can only be used during passing times between classes and during lunch.

ACT & SAT Testing:

Upcoming 2019-20 ACT & SAT Test Dates:

See Josie in the councilor’s office for registration information. Tests are taken at 8AM in FHS Room 121/122.

**If the ACT test (with writing) is taken during a school day, the cost is $59 but if the test is taken on a weekend, the cost is $68. A letter will be mailed home with all the information. ACT: Test Date SAT: Test Date

Community Education:

FHS Pool Open Swimming for January & February: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-8pm & Saturdays from 10am to noon. Cost is $2 per swimmer. The pool is closed on “no school” days.

ISD361 – “Rink Rat” at Bronco Arena for the remainder of the season. Stop in the office for more information.

Certified Nursing Assistant - Good Samaritan Society is offering free CNA courses starting in February. Sign up online at good-sam.com/ifalls or call Angela at 218-283-1334. There is limited space available for the classes!

Camp Koochiching/Camp Ogichi Daa Kwe Summer Employment:

There are two summer employment opportunities through Camp Koochiching – a Town Runner & a Transportation

Assistant. Stop in the guidance office for more information if you are interested in either position or contact George

Simmons at 303-324-3332 / [email protected] .

Miscellaneous:

Camp Kooch-i-ching & Ogichi Daa Kwe: There will be an informational meeting on Monday, January 27th at 6:30pm at

the Cantilever Hotel & Distillery (2078 Spruce Street, Ranier). Students interested in the camps are encouraged to attend with a parent/guardian. Information will be given on the Richard Thompson Scholarship Fund and other opportunities for youth of International Falls this summer. More information on the camps can be found at http://www.campingedu.org .

School Calendars: The Falls Legion Baseball team is selling 2019-2020 school calendars. The calendars are available in the FHS office & the cost is $10.

Driver’s License: DRIVER’S LICENSE WRITTEN EXAM: TUESDAYS FROM 10:30-11:45AM: NO APPOINTMENTS, WALK

Selective Service Reminder: All male students 18 year old and older need to register for Selective Service. The link
