Certified Pool Operator The Certified Pool Operator certification course is designed to provide the basic knowledge, techniques and skills required to safely operate a pool or spa. The course will follow the NSPF Pool & Spa Operator Handbook (provided) along with local regulatory codes and is taught by an NSPF certified instrufctor. Essential calculations, how to carry out and interpret water tests for safe operation of aquatic facilities, state and federal regulations and other important topics will be covered. Essentials of Excel Microsoft Excel is a program used to present data in a spreadsheet or a table of rows and columns. Data can then be sorted, organized, and manipulated mathematically using various operations and formulas. This introductory course will teach you basic data editing, performing calculations with formulas, managing workbooks, creating charts, and many other marketable skills using the automated tools found within Excel. Essentials of Word Microsoft Word is a word processing application used to create letters, reports, and other documents. This basic course will teach you foundational skills such as using toolbars, task panes, document navigation, as will as editing and formating texts. You will learn to create, copy, and delete files using the operating system, enter and edit data and navigate files and folders. NEW! Allied Health Track: Certified Nurse Aide to Patient Care Assistant/Technician This program provides an opportunity for Certified Nurse Aides to earn a stacked credential. CNA license must be current, in good standing, and license holder must have at least 1 year of working CNA experience during the last 3 years (before start date of the program). Under the supervision of medical and nursing staff, Patient Care Assistants/Technicians (PCA/PCT) provide basic care in hospitals, nursing homes, urgent care centers, wound care centers, home care agencies and long term care facilities. They assist patients with activities of daily living, check vital signs, perform EKGs, collection and testing of specimens and phlebotomy. Phlebotomy Refresher Course For medical professionals that would like to be re-trained or re-fresh their phlebotomy skills, this is the course for you! The course provides training on current phlebotomy skills and standards that will help individuals to regain confidence in practicing phlebotomy to either prepare for re-entering the work force or to simply enhance the individual’s skill level. This class is perfect for nurses, new phlebotomists, medical assistants, practicing phlebotomists, and physicians. Our partnership with Career Step provides a Dental Assistant program that will prepare you to get certified and working in the dental industry. The online program provides instructional videos, images, and quizzes to test your knowledge and retention throughout the course. Career Pathways Career Pathways offers students the opportunity to acquire a combination of basic academic skills and industry-specific training at the same time for zero or very little expense. You can train for a career and complete your high school equivalency diploma or improve English language skills at the same time. If you have a high school diploma you can also benefit from Career Pathways by improving your academic skills while receiving workforce preparation and training. Successful completion of this program may lead to a career and employment opportunities in high-demand occupations. Additional Benefits to Career Pathways:
