Campus Goals & Performance Objectives

2014-2015 Long-Term Performance Objective

Falfurrias Junior High School’s primary long-term performance objective is that one set forth by the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001:

By the 2014-2015 school years, 100% of all student population will meet or exceed proficiency on all assessments administered by the State and demonstrate mastery of the TEKS, as

evidenced by course completions.

In our school wide program, Falfurrias Junior High School strives to coordinate all efforts to improve student performance. To this end, we note that objectives, performance and

others which impact student performance may be combined rather than set apart from one another in different sections of the action plan.

o Writing = 68%, a decrease of 21%

o Reading= 69%, a decrease of 21%

o Math= 69%, maintained

o Science= 59%, a decrease of 6%

o Social Studies = 43% maintained

Falfurrias Jr. High School’s annual performance objectives for the 2013 – 2014 school year include the following and the baseline percentage reflect current performance at the Panel

Recommendation level:

Objective 1: By Spring 2015, the percentage of student in all groups meeting or exceeding proficiency on all STAAR test will increase from 65% to a minimum of 75%

Objective 2: By Spring 2015, the percentage of student in all groups meeting or exceeding proficiency on Reading STAAR test will increase

Objective 3: By Spring, 2015, the percentage of student in all groups meeting or exceeding proficiency on Writing STAAR will increase

Supporting Objectives

In addition to the previously listed performance objectives, Falfurrias Jr. High School has included the following objective for areas that directly impact the success of our students.

Objective 8: Attendance by 2015, attendance for all student population will increase to 95% for all student populations.

Objective 9: Highly Qualified Staff: By the 2014-2015 school year, all professional staff will meet the definition of NCLB Highly Qualified and will meet full State certification

requirement and all paraprofessionals will meet NCLB requirements. Based on annual needs assessment, staff will participate in professional development.

Objective10: Parent & Community Involvement: By Spring 2015, parental Involvement and community partnership will have 200 participants throughout the 2014-2015 school

year. Parental Involvement will be greater than 70% in all academic-based efforts.

Objective11: Discipline and Safe & Drug-Free Learning Environment: By Spring 2015, discipline referral rates will be reduced by 45%; drug-related and safety incidents will be

reduced to 0%; and disciplinary placements will decrease from 2.3% to 1.0%
