Prerequisites
1. You have a Facebook account
2. You are the administrator of a Facebook Business Page

Newsfeed vs Timeline
• News Feed is a constantly updating list of stories from Facebook friends and Pages that you Like. You access it by clicking Home, or the Facebook logo.
• Your timeline is your collection of the photos, stories, and experiences that tell your story. You access it by clicking your name.

Personal Profile vs Business Profile
• Both your personal profile and your Business page have a Newsfeed and a Timeline
• Personal Profiles have “Friends”
• Business Pages have “Likes”
• Business pages do not disclose any of your personal information

Personal Profile vs Business Profile
• You can switch between your personal profile and any business pages that you admin: • Use the Pages menu in the left column when viewing your newsfeed
• Or, use the ‘gear’ icon at the top right
• Look at the name next to the Home button to see which identity you are currently using

Personal Profile vs Business Profile
• When viewing your business page as your personal profile, you can choose whether to post or like/comment/share as your page or your personal profile • Use the narrow bar at the top, under the search box, to switch
• Confirm the identity by looking at the icon in the comment box
• Switch your identity completely by clicking “Edit page > Use Facebook as...”

Exercise
• Switch between identities • Go to the gear icon, top right corner and there will be a drop down that says
“Use Facebook as” with a list of your pages.
• Like/Comment/Share as your business and as you.

• Tag, Like, Comment, Share
• Increases Reach (the number of people who see your post)

Tagging
• Tag a Facebook friend by typing their name starting with a capital letter
• Tag a Business Page by starting with @. For example, @Montville...

Like (Story)
• Clicking Like is an easy way to let someone know that you enjoy it. The fact that you liked it is noted beneath the story.
• For example, if you click Like beneath a friend's video: • It'll be noted beneath the video that you liked it
• A story will be posted to your timeline that you liked your friend's video
• Your friend will get a notification that you liked his or her video

Like (Page)
• Clicking Like on a business page is similar to subscribing to updates from that page. You may see stories from the page on your newsfeed.
• You can Like a page as you or your page, or both. Only Likes from personal profiles get counted in the Pages Like score.
