+ Rankin The piece of work from Rankin is a portrait of Natalie Imabruglia in a sky blue background. I think that the photograph works well because there are many key points to this photograph I feel that it is very aesthetically pleasing and is prominent. This photograph has really inspired me to consider editing some of my own in a similar way and also taking close face shots of my models.

+ Edited Photo And Evaluation My original intention in taking this set of portrait photographs was to use portraits photographs when viewing the subject matter which was rebel, I used secondary sources to edit my photograph. I wanted to explore editing instead of making my model look like a rebel. I thought it would be easy using secondary source to edit my photo but it was harder. My photograph concentrates on my models face , I didn't use a tripod because I wanted to take my photographs of my models face close up and at a high view point . I am pleased with the focusing of my photographs as all the features of my models face are in focus and It was achieved this. When I first decided to take these photographs it was very out focus therefore, I decided to change the f stop number. I'm happy I changed it then my photographs became correctly exposed I'm not particularly happy with the quality of some of my photographs because they’re accidently out focus overly exposed this was because there was too little light. When I edited my photographs I used secondary information to create a rebel style but before I did that I edited my other photos in black and white or in colour. I used secondary sources to edit my photos but I feel that I should have made my models dress and had make up in a rebel style.

+Evaluation

On the whole I’m quite pleased with the initial photographs for my project ,my intentions when taking these photographs was to capture my models face close up and edit them into a rebel style. I achieved taking the photographs close up and also editing my photographs.

The compositions in most of my photographs have been carefully considered and I feel that they have created a visual impact on the viewer. I was a little disappointed that someone of my portrait photographs was accidently out focused I feel some of them were to flat and didn’t capture some of the features on my models face. However I was able to use the studio lights so it wasn’t over exposed and also I used Photoshop to slightly alter some of the features on my models face. However I feel that managed to use the studio lights correctly and achieved a strong contrast in my work. I also wanted to experiment secondary sources to edit my work.

I feel that my photographs was very successful was I had many strengths while taking the photographs. One of my strengths while taking these photographs was my close up shots, my results for taking these photographs from this angle was to take a clear shot of my model. The photo’s I used in my work are the photos that were sharply in focus, also some of my photographs I took was correctly exposed However, I had a few weaknesses when taking these photographs and I feel that I struggled a little at the start and I didn’t really have a clear direction about where I was going with my work but when I decided what I wanted to do with my work I started putting my ideas together ,my models, the way I was going to edit my photos, where I was going to take my photos and the theme I was going for. When I started taking the photos of my model they’re accidently out of focus then I zoomed out and also changed the setting on the camera. There was also some photos that came out under exposed that’s when I decided to bring light in to my models face. In conclusion, I could improve my work by next time making all the photos I take sharply focused, Also I could improve but not using secondary data to edit my photos and next time I could make my model look fierce or in the theme I wanted to do.

At the end of my project I decided to change my theme into innocent as my rebel theme wasn’t working well together. I felt the photograph I took were more innocent than rebel. I felt it was best if I edited them in an innocent style.
