WORDS OF WISDOM
The spirit of wisdom, as we discov-er in today’s first reading, comes to those who pray for her. Wisdom, like the word of God, carries a mes-sage of consolation as well as of great challenge. The letter to the Hebrews tells us that the word of God, infused with the wisdom of
God, is “sharper than any two-edged sword.” We cannot shrink from the wisdom of God, or from the word that has the power to penetrate our hearts and minds. Jesus, the living word of God, the em-bodiment of wisdom, has strong, deeply penetrat-ing words for the rich young man who comes to him seeking answers to his most profound ques-tions. Just when the young man thought he had done enough to fulfill God’s commands, more was asked of him. This is no less true for us.

“Power In My Hands” is a film that uncovers the beauty, timelessness and power of the rosary. Its primary purpose is to help viewers understand the power to revitalize America – a society in spiritual crisis, and instill an active response to the Blessed Mother’s plea for prayer. Hope through Jesus Christ is the ultimate goal of this film. Throughout history, humanity has been urged to respond to great needs and spiritual crisis. In modern times, this has been seen from the pleas of St. Pope John Paul II to Pope Benedict XVI to Pope Francis. And the Mother of Jesus Christ has called upon humanity to respond as noted in various major approved apparitions. We have only to look at the messages given at Fatima, Akita in Japan, Kibeho in Africa and most recently in San Nicholas in Argentina approved by the Church in 2016.
