Char Bhanjyang Tamu Samaj UK Charity DinnerNight in Aid of Char Bhanjyang Area DevelopmentProject was held at Connaught School, Aldershoton 15 Jan 2011. The guests of honour were LordRoger and Lady Pat Swinfen MBE. The dinnerwas attended by members of Char Bhanjyang andlocal dignitaries totalling 250 members.

Meeting for Char Bhanjyang DevelopmentProject at 28 Dixon Road London -18 Feb 2011and Dene House Kent - 02 Apr 2011Char Bhanjyang Center for health Project Meetingat Dixon Road hosted by the Chairman and DeneHouse in Canterbury the Lord and Lady Swinfen.The meeting was attended by the Chairman andmembers of CBTSUK Members.

Tamu Hyula Film Premier Show 19 Jun 2011Tamu Hyula Film Premier Show took place on19 Jun 2011 at Connaught School in Aldershot.It was organised to promote Gurung's unity. Theshow was inaugurated by President Tamu DheeUK Mr Muchhetra Gurung, President Tamu PyeLhu Sang UK Mr Som Gurung and ChairmanChar Bhanjyang Tamu Samaj UK Hon Lt ChandraGurung. The show was a huge success.

Breaside Preparatory School Annual Prize Giving6thJul2011The Headmistress Mrs Karen Nicholson andDeputy Headmistress Debbie Checksfield ofBreaside Preparatory School, Kent, kindly invitedthe Chairman of Char Bhanjyang Tamu Samaj UKHon Lt Chandra Bahadur Gurung as a Guest ofHonour at the Annual Prize giving ceremony. TheChairman was also accompanied by Mr Hari PrasadGurung (Secretary). The Chairman and Secretarywere also had an opportunity to give the powerpoint presentation about Nepal, Char Bhanjyang,our Charity activities and the Gurkhas.Annual Summer Bhela 6 Aug 2011

Summer Annual Bhela took place at ConnaughtSchool on 6 Aug 2011

Great South Run 30 Oct 2011 for Char Bhanjyang:FAB 5 (Sharon, Debbie Checksfield,Alan Griggs,Karen Everest, Charlie Mayo) took part in GreatSouth Run on 30 Oct 2011 to raise money for theMedical Clinic in Char Bhanjyang Area, ParbatNepal. All Char Bhanjyang members are gratefulfor their kind support.

CBTSUK Youth Meeting:First Char Bhanjyang Tamu Samaj UK youthmeeting took place at Spicy Zone, Aldershot on5 Nov 2011 to promote youth unity and supportCBTSUK's activities.

Donation for re-maintenance work atSwayambhu Budhhist Cemetery, Kathmandu:CBTS Ama Group Kathmandu initiated the re-maintenance work at Swayambhu BuddhistCemetery Kathmandu after no authority showedany concern of its total ruined condition. It wasestimated about Rs. 25 lakhs to rebuild thiscemetery. On the request of CBTS Kathmandu AmaGroup, CBTSUK raised Rs 6,33,770 under the

coordination of Mrs Santi Gurung. This money washanded to Chairperson of Ama Group Mrs SantuGhale at Kathamadu by the Chairman of CBTSUKon 9 Nov 2011. She expressed her gratitude to allmember of CBTSUK.

h. Char Bhanjyang Center for Health (SwinfenHouse) Inauguration -14 Nov 2011Lady Pat Swinfen MBE kindly laid the foundationstone with special ceremony led by pancha kanya,panchi baja, Lama and pandits. Many members ofCBTS Kathmandu, Pokhara and about 400 peoplefrom the area were gathered for the ceremony.Special cultural programme was performed byPrachin Nepal Group (Krishna, Mautse, Min,Yuwan and other artist from Pokhara). The villagewas in celebration for 3 continues day. I have to saythe villagers have seen this excitement and glimmerof hope after many years. It was really satisfying tosee smile and sense of new hope in their eyes. Afterthe completion of this project, 14000 people aroundthis area will take advantage of this unique medicalclinic with Telemedicine Link. I am also delightedto inform you that we have managed to establishTelemedicine Link from Helping hand Phalebasand District Hospital, Kusma, Parbat.

I really commendhis leadership and selfless act to overview this wholeproject. Without his thorough planing and thinkingthis programme would not be possible. WO1 (RSM)Kul bahadur Gurung, Chairman of Char BhanjyangDevelopment Committee/Site manager of Medical clinicis supervising the construction and overall control ofthe medical clinic project. Mr Roshan Gurung AssistantSite manager of Medical clinic is dealing with day today construction work and keeping daily expendituredetails and labor attendance.
