Teaching Families to Eat Better for Less IFFS is looking for partner organizations to host our six- week Cooking Matters classes. Cooking Matters, a program of national anti-hunger organization Share Our Strength, is a cooking-based nutrition education course designed to teach low-income families how to prepare healthy, tasty meals on a limited budget. Cooking Matters offers Adults, Families, Parents, Teens, Kids, and Child Care Professionals curricula. Class sessions are two hours long and are held once a week for six weeks at your organization’s site. Host sites provide meeting space, class participants, and a staff member who coordinates with IFFS and is present during class sessions. Cooking Matters can be implemented in a variety of settings; only running water is required! IFFS provides trained volunteer nutritionists and culinary instructors, curricula, ingredients, equipment, materials, and take home groceries for participants. “Wow. Teaching Families to Eat Better for LessIFFS is looking for partner organizations to host our six-week Cooking Matters classes. Cooking Matters, a program of national anti-hunger organization Share Our Strength, is a cooking-based nutrition education course designed to teach low-income families how to prepare healthy, tasty meals on a limited budget.
