Policy Summary

This document represents a summary of cover to help assist you in making an informedpurchase decision. When cover is purchased, a policy document will be provided whichcontains all of the terms and conditions of the policy. Please take time to read the policydocument to make sure you understand the cover it provides.

Land Rover believes in long-term ownership and, when the warranty on your new or usedLand Rover vehicle expires, we believe you should have the option to continue the protectionon your car – and take the journey further. Our Extended Warranties are specifically designedfor Land Rover vehicles giving you the reassurance of cover for both mechanical andelectrical failures.

EXTENDED WARRANTY

Land Rover Extended Warranty is available for Land Rover vehicles which at the time of warrantypurchase are a maximum of 10 years old and have covered less than 100,000 miles.

Summary of Cover

The Extended Warranty covers defects to most factory fitted components of the vehicle formechanical, electrical or consequential failure.

What your Extended Warranty Does Not Cover:

Claim Liability

Unlimited up to the price paid for the vehicle in aggregate.

Mileage Restriction

Unlimited mileage during the term of the warranty.

– Bodywork, body seals, cosmetic finishes,glass, paintwork, trim, upholstery orweather strips

– Batteries– Bulbs and fuses– Consequential failure caused by fire or flood– Deterioration such as discolouration,alteration or deforming of parts due tonormal ageing

– Electrical software updates orreprogramming*

– Exhaust systems including Diesel ParticulateFilters* (DPF)

– Gradual reduction in operating performance(wear and tear)

– Hinges and strikers– Recharging of air conditioning unit*– Routine component adjustment andalignment

– Service/maintenance operations andadjustments, non-factory fitted components

– Wheels, tyres and valves– Wheel balancing/alignment and adjustment** Unless part of a valid claim, or required dueto the failure of a covered part causingconsequential damage.

SELECT EXTENDED WARRANTY

Land Rover Select Extended Warranty is available for Land Rover vehicles which at the time ofwarranty purchase have covered less than 100,000 miles.

Summary of Cover

The Select Extended Warranty covers most major repairs on the following components of thevehicle for mechanical or electrical failure:

Items not covered on the Extended Warranty are also excluded from the Select Extended Warranty.

Claim Liability

£3,000 individual claim liability and aggregate claims up to the price paid for the vehicle.

Mileage Restriction

This warranty will provide cover for your vehicle for the duration of the warranty period up toa maximum of 25,000 miles from the date of warranty purchase.

– Engine – Gearbox – Differential – Drive line – Suspension – Steering – Cooling system – Air conditioning

– Braking system – Turbo unit/Turbo actuator– Fuel system – Clutch – Electrics – Casings – Oil leaks– Consumables

– Any component failure, damage or lossesnot directly covered under the terms andconditions of this policy

– Consequential failure caused by fireor flood

– Electrical software updates orreprogramming

– Faults which existed before the start ofthis Warranty. Pre-existing faults must berectified before this Warranty starts

– Gradual reduction in operatingperformance (wear and tear)

– Water ingress– Wiring

ADDITIONAL BENEFITS

Both Extended and Select Extended Warranties have the following additional benefits.

Car Hire

If you have a valid claim, you may claim reimbursement for a replacement vehicle, but notincluding fuel and insurance. You are responsible for the first 24 hours that you cannot use yourown vehicle. After this period, you can claim for a replacement vehicle for up to seven days.

Overseas Cover

Your vehicle is covered whilst it is outside the United Kingdom in Europe for up to 60 days duringthe period of warranty.

If your vehicle has a breakdown in any country, which is a member of the European Union orEFTA (European Free Trade Association), you will be entitled to authorise a repair by anyLand Rover dealer.

MOT Test Insurance

You are also covered for MOT repair costs up to £750 (including VAT). Please note that the first £50 ofany claim must be paid by the warranty holder and the MOT test or re-test fee is not covered.

Significant Exclusions or Limitations

There are certain items which these policies specifically do not cover. Full details can beobtained from your Land Rover dealer or Land Rover Approved Warranty Administration.

– If the vehicle has been modified in any way you must declare this prior to application forthe warranty.

– Any vehicle fitted with wheels and tyres that exceed Land Rover maximum approved size anddiameter must also be declared prior to application for the warranty as fitment of such wheelsand tyres could invalidate the warranty.

– The vehicle must be serviced in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendedservice schedule.

– Non UK registered left hand drive and Grey Import vehicles are excluded.

– Public service vehicles, such as police, fire vehicles, ambulances and military vehiclesare excluded.

– Vehicles used for hire or reward, vehicles used in any sort of competition, rally or racing andany vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight of more than 3.5 tonne are all excluded.

– Warranty cover may only be granted to individuals residing or corporate bodies registered inthe UK.

CUSTOMER INFORMATION

Cancellation Rights and Refunds

We hope you are happy with the cover this policy provides. If after reading your policy document,however, this insurance cover does not meet with your requirements, you have the right to cancelthe warranty (including the MOT element of the policy) within 30 days of purchase and the optionalassistance element within 14 days of purchase.

Should you wish to cancel within this period, please return the policy to the Land Rover dealerfrom whom the policy was purchased; the dealer will then refund any premium you are entitled to.If you purchased your policy online or via postal application please contact Land Rover ApprovedWarranty Administration on 0344 573 8055 for a refund of any premium you are entitled to.

If you wish to cancel your policy after this 30-day period, you may cancel your policy at any timeand receive a pro rata refund of your premium based on the number of whole months remainingsubject to the deduction of a cancellation fee of £30. Requests for cancellation outside of the first30 days from purchase should be made by contacting the administrator on 0344 573 8055 or inwriting to Land Rover Approved Warranty Administration, Jubilee House,5 Mid Point Business Park, Thornbury, West Yorkshire BD3 7AG.

There will be no refund entitlement under the following circumstances:– in the last 30 days of cover on the warranty including the MOT policy– if you have made a claim on the warranty or the MOT policy– where the warranty including MOT policy has been transferred from the original purchaser– where Land Rover Assistance has been taken as a cost option, no refund or part refund will be

provided after the first 14 days, or where assistance has been sought within the first 14 daysPlease allow up to 28 days for your cancellation and refund to be processed.

Policy Premium Payments

Cover is available as an annual policy with a single upfront payment or via monthly instalments.

Where you have selected to purchase your product via monthly instalments, you have entered intoan agreement to purchase an annual policy, spreading the cost over interest free instalments. Youare required to continue to pay your instalments until all monies owed have been paid.

The cover level provided when opting to pay by monthly instalments is identical to that of anannual policy. You must pay the premium every month on or before the date when it is due.Payment is required for the full premium of your policy subject to the cancellation terms. Shouldyou fail to pay a monthly premium when it is due, all cover will cease immediately from that date.Where you have made a claim against the policy, you will be asked to continue to make yourmonthly instalment payments.

Making a Claim

In the event of a claim arising, you must follow this procedure: Take your vehicle to the Land Rover supplying dealer with the following information: – The full warranty type and number (found on the Warranty Certificate) – The date and mileage that the component failed.

You also have the right to ask the Financial Ombudsman Service to review your case. Financial Services Compensation Scheme

The Insurer is covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS).

You may be entitled to compensation from the scheme if the Insurer is unable to meet itsobligations. This depends on the type of business and the circumstances of the claim. Insuranceadvising and arranging is covered for 90% of the claim amount, without any upper limit.

Insurer

Motors Insurance Company Limited (“the Insurer”) will provide the insurance outlined in the policydocument, on the condition that you have paid the premium for the cover that you have chosen.All the terms, exceptions and conditions shown in the policy document will apply to this insurance.

LAND ROVER ASSISTANCE –OPTIONALLand Rover Assistance is available as a cost option at the point of warranty purchase only.

Land Rover Assistance provides comprehensive Roadside Assistance in the event of a vehiclebreakdown within the UK and certain other European countries.

Significant Exclusions or Limitations

Land Rover Assistance will not pay for:

– Any expense incurred without the prior authorisation of Land Rover Assistance

– Pre-existing defects

– Any expense that would have normally been payable by you, such as fuel and toll charges

– The cost of replacement parts, unless covered by Land Rover Warranty

– Any costs resulting from participation in motor racing, rallies, speed or duration testing

– Any costs resulting from your vehicle being kept in an unroadworthy condition, or not beingserviced in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations

– Any costs resulting from you being under the influence of intoxicating liquor, solvent abuseor drugs

– Any consequential losses arising directly or indirectly from the immobilisation of your vehicle

– Damage or injury intentionally caused by you or resulting from your participation in a criminalact or offence

4. What is the duration of the contract?

Your policy will run for 12 months from your policy start date.

5. Do I need to do anything after I have purchased the policy?

Please remember that it is your responsibility to regularly review your level of cover to ensurethat it remains adequate.

6. What cancellation rights do I have?

We hope that you will be happy with the cover your policy provides. However, you have the rightto cancel it within 14 days of receiving the policy handbook, without giving any reason.

If that happens, we will refund your payment in full.

In the event that you wish to cancel this policy within the 14-day period, in the first instanceplease contact Land Rover Approved Warranty Administration, who will arrange for the refund.

Please note that if your policy is cancelled after the expiry of the 14-day period, following receiptof the warranty documentation no refund will be payable. Under no circumstances will a refundbe given if a claim has been paid.

7. How do I make a claim?

If you require assistance following vehicle breakdown, fire or theft please do not attempt tomake your own arrangements.

8. What should I do if I have a complaint?

We hope that you will be pleased with the service we provide.
