On the following pages, we’ve provided step-by-step instructions for creating your student ac-count.

STUDENT ENROLLMENT VIA LINK

Step 1: Check Your Email

Your teacher will send you a link to enroll in his/her Extempore class. Open your email and click on the link.

Step 2: Enter Your Email Address

The link will take you to Extempore’s enrollment page. Enter your email and click the BUY NOW BUTTON.

Step 3: Enter Your Payment Information

Enter your card number, its expiration date, and the CVC (located on the back of your card). Click on the PAY $4.99 button.

Step 4: Receive Confirmation

You’ll receive a confirmation that your payment was received and an emailed invitation to join the course for which your instructor asked you to enroll.

Step 5: Return to Email

Return to the email associated with the account. Create your account by clicking the HERE link.

Step 6: Create an Account

Enter the required information (FIRST NAME, LAST NAME, USERNAME, PASSWORD, PASSWORD CONFIRMATION) and click the CREATE button.

Step 7: Download the Extempore App onto Your Mobile Device

Access to an iPad, iPhone, or Android device is needed.

The Extempore app does not currently operate on desktop. The device must have iOS 8.4 or later or Android 4.0 or later in order for Extempore to be downloaded.

If you have created your account using your device, you can click on the App Store or Google Play button from the SUCCESS screen. If you created your account from your computer, you can search for Extempore in the App Store or Google Play on your device and download it from there.

When Extempore is first downloaded, a window will pop up asking if you want to accept Push Notifications. Be sure to select YES. If you didn’t hit YES or want to adjust how often you receive notifications, go to one of the following locations:

iOS Settings > Notification Center > Extempore. Turn on “Show in Notification Center”.

Android Settings > General > Application Management > Extempore > Check box for “Show notifications”

The microphone must be turned ON in your settings in order to be able to hear audio/video prompts and student responses. To enable microphone usage, go to one of the following locations:

iOS Settings > Privacy > Microphone and turn the Extempore button to ON.

Android Settings > General > Application Management > Extempore > Permissions > Microphone

Step 8: Personalize Your Profile (Optional)

Select PROFILE and add your picture (optional) by selecting EDIT and tapping on the picture circle.

Provide feedback to Extempore Sign Out
