1 Introduction: Exposition of Threefold Knowledge

Expect no answers — except on the question where we are in dire need of them. This is the majormotivation behind the following exposition of (missing) knowledge about the Convocation of Triglav. Itis a dense exposition of an open research program called the “Triglavian Primer”, a series of futuretreatises on Triglavian topics with a strong scientific orientation. It is an invitation to all capsuleers, tofind inspiration for further research, to relate one’s results to others’, and to engage in critical andproductive discourse. This first issue is based on two intentions. Firstly, it is an introduction to the“Triglavians” in general, thus it aims at readers who are new to the topic. Secondly, the expositionidentifies key fields of future research related to the Convocation’s arrival in New Eden. So, the title“exposition of knowledge” refers to what we know about the knowledge of the Triglavian collective. At the same time, an “exposition of missing knowledge” identifies our lack of understanding. Whatfollows is a systematic introduction of both. As such, it cannot be a comprehensive presentationand should be seen as a preliminary work. The focus lies on subjects which are at least marginallyaccessible to us by empirical means: artifacts, observations, statements. However, philosophical andpolitical reflections may sometimes have to drive our thinking beyond what we know already in orderto reach an understanding of what we need to know.

For those completely unaware of the “Triglavians” it should be noted that this is a systematic, nothistorical introduction. Nevertheless, a few remarks on their discovery – or revelation – will helpreaders to engage in further research on the chain of events. In late YC 119 and early YC 120 theConvocation of Triglav revealed themselves by two closely related means. Stellar relic and datasites throughout all of New Eden started to unearth artifacts of Triglavian origin and the AratakaResearch Consortium was able to decipher intercepted messages. Both suggested an advent ofa new space-faring group. This was soon accompanied by the capturing of a Triglavian vesselby CONCORD which was towed to the system of Yulai for quarantine, inspection, and analysis. Socalled Abyssal Filaments were subject to CONCORD’s subsequent experiments and the existenceof abyssal deadspace announced soon after. Capsuleers gained access to these abyssal regions ofspace-time only after a very effective and well executed intrusion of a data worm into the GalacticNetwork by the Convocation of Triglav themselves. This grand-scale attack aimed at the navigationinfrastructure of capsuleer ships, enabling them to enter abyssal deadspace. One implication of thisforced accessibility was suddenly obvious: they challenged New Eden’s inhabitants to enter theirstellar proving grounds. This surprisingly clear but obscure intention was later backed up by a secondmovement, the appearance of Triglavian invasion fleets. They soon became a common sight. We see their escalation still underway today.

The following exposition approaches the topic from three distinct understandings of knowledge. Thechapters are named respectively as “Knowledge of Control”, “Knowledge of Identity”, and “Knowledgeof Spirituality”.

2 Knowledge of Control

Knowledge of Control enables individuals and societies to shape the world after their vision. Itembraces the power to make use of nature’s laws and the ability to design and manipulate the socialand political structure. In regard to the Convocation of Triglav, this basically refers to fundamentalmechanisms of their technology.

2.1 Scientific Fundamentals of the Triglavian Collective

Quantum physics and zero-point energy Quantum physics and quantum engineering areone of the fundamental principles of known Triglavian technology. Like for us, they unlock theirability to manipulate the fabric of materials, space, and time itself. Triglavian core science is notfundamentally different to our own. Reverse-engineering is possible. However, their advancedunderstanding of quantum interactions allows them to manipulate gravity and space-time toa degree of precision unheard of before. Quantum entanglement also provides a basis for their

communications technology. The most notable result of their expertise in quantum engineeringis the harnessing and manipulation of space-time singularities. Triglavian technologies use it for

power generation, propulsion systems, and weapons design among other things. A singularityis an incredibly powerful gravitational well and its radiation is the key to power conversion. The meansto harness those singularities is a yet not fully understood application of zero-point fields andenergies. Basically, zero-point energies work as a border or neutralizing equilibrium field which isable to contain gravitational quantum energy, e. g. the shaping of gravity, within and thus preventthe devastating effects of a singularity to affect space-time beyond the zero-point field. Miniaturegravitational conduits and even batteries become a possibility. Zero-point fields or energy streams areitself a product of exotic matter condensate; the most notorious application may be the EntropicDisintegrator which converts exotic matter into a particle stream. Those particles form a denseconduit of gravitational force, inducing thermal reactions which steadily increase the acceleration ofthe exotic particles (the “ramp-up” effect of Triglavian weapon beams). The zero-point field is the keyfor this precise focus and containment of such destructible fore. The Veles Clade is assumed to bethe main architect of such high-energy exotic particle manipulation. The underlying principles forthe interaction between quantum energy, zero-point condensate, and exotic particles are unchartedregions of research to come. It only seems clear so far, that quantum effects and entropic force playa major role for unlocking these secrets.

Bioadaptivity and mutaplasmid The second major feature of the Convocation of Triglav’s scientificachievements is the heavy use of bioadaptive tools and materials. Bioadaptivity basically means themanipulation of organic or anorganic matter through the use of engineered colonies of extremophilicbacteria (it survives in even the harshest condition). These bacterias grow, alter, or harvest resources, components, or organic tissues. The best known examples are the mutaplasmid effect on starshipmodules and the application in space-suits. While the former is widely used but poorly controlled, the latter is even more obscure. How the bacteria colonies affect the living body on short and

2

long-term basis is unknown. Same holds true for the possible extend of physiological manipulation. While Mutaplasmid is presently associated with the alteration of diverse mutated ship componentsor as feedstock for the nanites in powerful remote-repair modules, its application in processesof bioadaptivity potentially reach much further. For example, expeditions into the abyss reporthigh concentrations of biological forms in the abyssal deadspace pockets. They may be crucial forresource harvesting, optimization, or environmental control within the pockets.

2.2 Spacio-temporal Manipulation

Solar system environment manipulation Since their appearance, the Convocation of Triglav hasshown us their mastery of stellar engineering. By this I refer basically to two things, the manipulationof gravitational environments in solar systems and abyssal deadspace, as well as the construction ofstargates and spatio-temporal conduits. The most pressing matter seems to be the construction of aso called Stellar Accelerator next to our stars in invaded foothold systems. Its basic function isthat of a particle accelerator in order to manipulate the gravitational topology of a solar system. So,we are talking about ultra-high-energy manipulation of quantum energy. The accelerator is clearlyinstrumental, probably conducting experiments of a larger scope. The obvious effect caused byspatio-temporal manipulation is a strange gravitational change in the system, like effects on warpspeed, velocity of missiles, or the interaction between minerals and mining equipment. But since thequantum-interactions caused by the accelerator are so similar to conduits into the abyssal deadspace, some argue that the whole set-up would eventually “weave” a solar system into a Triglavian networkof spatio-temporal pockets. However, the system’s star plays a major roll as a gravitational sourcefor these massive stellar manipulations. The stars are also fundamental as markers for space-timetopology, allowing for directed manipulation of gravity and precise targeting of conduits. Thosemechanics and their purpose are probably the most important research field today.

Gravitational manipulation Basically, the Stellar Accelerator is just a masterpiece of appliedfundamental quantum engineering described above. The same principles are also observable withthe Abyssal Filaments, which are mass produced tools to entangle a warp-core with a localgravitational topology (“exotic entanglement reaction transmission principle”). The “filament device”aligns a ship’s mass and energy profile with gravitational data in order to open up a targeted conduit. Those entry points to the abyssal deadspace are linked to subtle energy spikes investigated byCONCORD shortly before the appearance of the Triglavians. How the conduits are opened up andhow they actually target a deadspace pocket is poorly understood. How the abyssal pockets arecarved out of crushing gravitational fields and sustained at all, is an even greater mystery. Explorationand description of the abyssal deadspace is another urgent focus for future research.

Stargates and conduits Finally, the application of stellar manipulation also takes more conven-tional forms as conduits and gate technology. The triangular Transfer Conduit, Origin Conduit,

Stellar Transfer Conduit, or Proving Conduit all resemble known warp-gate technology but are

3

Page 7: Exposition of Missing Knowledge · 2019-11-24 · motivation behind the following exposition of (missing) knowledge about the Convocation of Triglav. It is a dense exposition of an

based on Triglavian quantum physics and spatio-temporal manipulation. The precise nature remainsunknown. However, the technology proved to be compatible. Upwell and their partners have greatlyimproved their stargate technology, e. g. with the Ansiblex Jump Gate or the EXERT ConduitCoupler.

All in all, the stellar manipulation capacity of the Convocation of Triglav includes massive shapingof gravitational topology as seen with the Stellar Accelerator or in the abyssal deadspace pockets. Italso provides flexible and highly customized space-time conduits through the Abyssal Filaments andtheir interaction with a single ship’s warp-core. Finally, the conduit manipulation also takes the formof more classical warp-gate or stargate engineering.

2.3 Core Triglavian Ship Components

Hull types With an amazing speed, CONCORD and the four empires not only have re-engineeredthe basic Triglavian hull types ( Damavik, Kikimra, Vedmak, Rodiva, Drekavac, Leshak)but also succeeded in their fusion with our own unique ship designs ( Nergal, Ikitursa, Draugur,

Zarmazd). The Society of Conscious Thought added two experimental designs as well ( Hydra,Tiamat). Starship technology is probably the most advanced field of our knowledge about the

Convocation of Triglav. A brief outline must suffice at this place.

Ship component layout Generally, Triglavian spaceships are classified by common size categoriesas frigates, destroyers and so forth. All of them have some features in common. This includes a strictdefensive armor doctrine with remote repair capacities; the latter does profit greatly from the useof mutaplasmid bacteria colonies in order to advance the usual nanite repair process. Hull surfaceand nanocoating are especially compatible to our known technology. Ship coating experiments, likethe Metamateria line, try to blend our known metamaterials with reactive principles of the exoticparticle fields in abyssal deadspace, e. g. to achieve stealth effects (with pending success so far). The use of missiles is a common secondary attack option. Additionally, capacitor warfare or otherforms of electronic attack is used very flexibly across different hull types as a tertiary offensive orstrategy. This sums up the basic similarities to our traditional ship designs and doctrines. Everythingelse shows some distinct and unique features.

Figure 1: Triglavian Ship Module Layout

When it comes to ship design, an abstract component layout can be derived from the different hulltypes (cf. Figure 1). First of all, there is a harnessed singularity gravitation well as the primary sourceof power. As outlined above, zero-point energy fields are the key to tame the raw quantum energywhich is a result of the localized bending of space-time. As a gravitation well, the quantum energy isthe result of a highly concentrated mass which, in turn, is a result of spatio-temporal manipulation. As such, the usable energy of the singularity comes as radiation, just like from stars, black holes,or other mass-intensive stellar objects. Containment and control of this fierce radiation is achievedthrough a Zero-point Field Manipulator. This component ensures power control, its storage andfunneling to subsequent ship components. It does harvest and convert singularity radiation. Thezero-point field itself is a phenomenon on quantum level and its interaction with the singularity stillneeds extensive theoretical and empirical research. The Zero-Point Field Manipulator is closely tiedto the Singularity Radiation Converter which provides the actual power generation. It converts theenergy provided by the Zero-point Field Manipulator into usable energy for operational componentsof the ship. The most important of these is the Radiation Absorption Thruster, the propulsioncomponent for the ship hull. The Thruster interacts with the power core and the singularity quantum

5

Page 9: Exposition of Missing Knowledge · 2019-11-24 · motivation behind the following exposition of (missing) knowledge about the Convocation of Triglav. It is a dense exposition of an

effects which basically encompasses the whole ship, not only the core components. However, forour present purpose, we skip the details of the interaction between singularity effects and the hull, structure, and components of the ship. Another component deeply woven into the primary powercircuit is the Entropic Disintegrator as the primary, singularity-based weapon system. Entropicforce and exotic matter are the key concepts by which the Disintegrators operate. Any armor repaircapacity is also closely tied into the power circuit. The Mutaplasmid Remote Armor Repairerfor example, links the power supply with mutaplasmid colonies reservoirs in order to produce thepowerful nanite repair stream conduit unique to Triglavian ships. Finally, the component layout wouldnot be complete without the Trinary State Processor, the information processing component. Itis based on the typical Triglavian trinary logic for information processing and interfacing. It is akey component for understanding Triglavian technology. The relationship between trinary logic andquantum computer architecture will continue to keep researchers busy for some time.

Further aspects Two additional aspects of ship design are worth noting. Firstly, the introductionof the Mimesis Implant technology which enables capsuleers to connect directly to the Triglavianweapon systems via a dedicated cyberlink. The exact nature is not disclosed. It is rumored that theSociety of Conscious Thought did make use of Restricted Artificial Intelligence. Also, the mimesiseffect of the implant relies on symbolic imitation and depiction of a ship’s processes. All this remainsa black box so far. Secondly, it should be noted that the Triglavian ships are designed towards aninteraction with local environmental manipulation as seen in abyssal deadspace pockets or invasionfoothold systems. Experiments of New Eden researchers achieved some results, basically limitedto interaction between the nanocoating of the hull and the environmental conditions found in theabyss (cf. Storm SKIN, Firestorm SKIN). However, it must be reasoned that the interactionbetween ship and different gravitational environments in the abyss could be much more intimate andfar-reaching than merely fancy and popular skin effects suggest.

2.4 Resources, Navigation, Communication

Resources A few other aspects of Triglavian knowledge of control shall be grouped together forthe purpose of this overview, though every single one is worth a more dedicate description forsure. First of all, Triglavian technology relies heavily on a formerly unknown alloy called LatticeLocked Isogen-10 which is produced from Crystalline Isogen-10, a material only found in abyssaldeadspace pockets. The unique features of these materials are basically caused by the exceptionalgravitational conditions under which they are harvested and reprocessed. They are light, flexible, enduring, and able to deal with exceptional quantum energy fields and gravitational manipulationsinherent to Triglavian ships or structures. More precisely, the isotope Isogen-10 does require theabsence of the usual ultra-high pressures which lead to the creation of common Isogen. Under suchspecial gravitational conditions, the isotope takes on a stable and versatile bipyramidal crystal form. The abyssal deadspace pockets, which seem to be low-gravity pockets carved out of high-densitygravitational areas of space, provide the necessary conditions for the isotope to dwell. Main featureof Isogen-10 and any alloys is the possibility to remain hard and flexible over a vast range of gravity

6

Page 10: Exposition of Missing Knowledge · 2019-11-24 · motivation behind the following exposition of (missing) knowledge about the Convocation of Triglav. It is a dense exposition of an

and accelerations. We are only at the beginning of understanding the isotope’s exact nature andpossibilities.

Harvesting and processing Closely related, Triglavians make heavy use of Isogen-10 derivativesand this requires mining – or harvesting – as well as reprocessing. Exploration missions into theAbyss showed several structures of varying size dedicated, but not limited, to this purpose. As withmany aspects of the Convocation of Triglav, the extraction installations seem to be tightly organizedin a hierarchy of relevance, like the Extraction Sub-node, Node, Triplex Cluster, or the fortified

Extraction Nexus. Interestingly, the first CONCORD mission into the abyss reported the possibilitythat mutaplasmids are heavily applied in harvesting processes as well. Details are missing, though.Given the fact that mutaplasmid bacteria colonies are able to alter materials, it seems possible thatthe steps of harvesting and reprocessing are merged due to the application of mutaplasmid.

Abyssal navigation infrastructure If we follow this train of thought we should soon wonder abouthow the Collective is able to navigate the abyss at all. What we know so far is that they are constantlyobserving the shifting gravitational topology and environmental conditions of the abyss and gatherhuge amounts of data which has been partially recovered by numerous of expeditions. These

Triglavian Survey Databases are not only gathered and transmitted to some central authority. They are placed into dedicated caches which are distributed through the abyssal pockets itself. Thisraises some question and possible scenarios. However, the point that shall be made here is thatthe Biocombinative, Cladistic, or Bioadaptive Caches are placed there by purpose as aninfrastructure for Triglavian vessels navigating the abyss. Given the fact that navigational telemetryis mostly useless in the abyssal deadspace, those caches can be interpreted as a decentralizedinfrastructure network, maybe similar to the Signal Cartel’s Search and Rescue Caches in Anoikis. This could be a major key to the understanding of the Triglavian mastery of the abyss.

Encryption and communication Last but not least, the knowledge of control is fundamentallyaffected by the Convocation’s unique approach to communication and encryption. Quantum com-puters based on ternary logic have been referred to above already. This technology implies adedicated Triglavian Encryption Method. While many aspects have been deciphered already andthe basic principles are understood, the actual transfer, translation, and reconstruction of meaningbetween a sender and receiver (between technical components and individuals alike) remain a greatmystery. This problem is illustrated best by the Data Vaults retrieved from the abyss. For example, the Triglavian Cache Data Vault, Transfer Data Vault, or Origin Data Vault. The transfer of oneinput stream of data to an output stream is most often not understandable. The idea of probabilisticrecoding and interpretation has been proposed. However, it seems that this would require a veryalien way of interpretation by any individual trying to decipher the meaning. Data and informationprocessing thus has to be contemplated in a broader scope of the construction of meaning in amore general sense. Decryption alone may not be the key problem of understanding. It seemsvery likely that the Convocation of Triglav does rely heavily on semiotic and symbolic exchange

7

Page 11: Exposition of Missing Knowledge · 2019-11-24 · motivation behind the following exposition of (missing) knowledge about the Convocation of Triglav. It is a dense exposition of an

of meaning rather than an abstract or formalized code. This theory is based on the numerousmessages sent by the Convocation to the capsuleer community. The technical devices that madethis communication possible (so called Semiosis Consoles of the Perun, Svarog, and VelesClades) were obviously designed not only for literal transportation of phonetic or written language butalso for a transposition of knowledge by symbolic means. This seems to be one of the reasons whythe communication consoles were said to “conduct semiosis” and not only “communicate information”.This hypothesis is further supported by the many strange and hard to interpret phrases used by theConvocation of Triglav in their attempts to transport messages to us. This language barrier needsextensive research. The first major step was the deciphering of Triglavian characters by UrielAnteovnuecci; a crucial prerequisite for any transcription of Triglavian messages.

3 Knowledge of Identity

The knowledge of control was detailed in the previous section. It is by far the easiest of thethree knowledge types to present. This is caused by the fact that most things we know about theConvocation of Triglav comes from technological relics, wrecks, structures, and recovered objectsfrom the invasion battlegrounds or the abyss. The knowledge of identity, on the other hand, deals withsuch things as the social organization, socialization and the emergence of identity, self-awarenessand self-interpretation, social relationships, and other things which do not tell us what they do or canbut who they are and how they live. 1

3.1 Major Sources

Apparently, data is much less abundant when it comes to this. For that reason, the following sectionwill be much shorter and less concerned with actual artifacts or empirical data. Major sources are thenumerous Trinary Datastreams (see also below) recovered from the respective Data Vaults aswell as saved data from wrecked Triglavian vessels or survival suits. Also, the Arataka ResearchConsortium has collected and analyzed a notable amount of scattered information, includingfootage provided by the Triglavian Collective through clade specific Semiosis ConductionConsoles. 2 However scarce the data may be, the knowledge of identity is at least as important tounderstand as the technological gimmicks of any knowledge of control.

1It also implies the question how the Convocation’s sudden appearance changes us, how it will affect our identity, history, and self-interpretation. This reflective perspective will not be stressed in this exposition though it is a fundamentalaspect of any thorough, holistic research.

2The footage deals with Triglavian constructs as well as star analysis. the ARC Studio Archives.

3.2 The Clades and the Number of Three

Apparently, the social organization of the Convocation of Triglav is built upon strict Clades whichadhere to the ideal of the Number of Three. This is represented by technological designs, bysymbology, and by the stratification into functional groups. For example, the Veles, Svarog, and

Perun Clades are not by accident three by number; their vessel hulls are identified by exponentialnumbers of three and so forth. The ideal of trinity seems to be imperative for self-organizationand aesthetics alike. Besides that, there seems to be a very tight and static hierarchy which isbuilt on specialized and dedicated social roles, maybe even professional roles. A high degree ofrational decision making can be assumed. However, all we know is derived from primarily belligerentindividuals and acts of aggression. The social structure we interpret might be only a militaristicsection of an even greater whole.

Here is not the place to go deeper into the social organization. It is a research field of great interestand with access to quiet some information, like individual names, groups and their relationships. However, dedicated publications shall detail this further in the future. It is worth to note though, thatthe ideal of the Number of Three is very likely also an expression of religious, philosophic, ethic, ormystic knowledge. The social organization, how instrumental and rigorous it may seem, is certainlyrooted in deeper levels of cultural consciousness and identity forming. Linguistic, psychological, sociological, and philosophical research needs to be done on nature, extent, and depth of therelationship between mental concepts and social institutions. Transhumanist thinking is challenged tobuild a bridge of understanding and shared meaning.

3.3 Perception of the Others – Perception of Us

We have quiet some insight into how the Convocation of Triglav relates themselves to others – like us.Five different Semiosis Data Vaults have been discovered so far, each reveals meaningful (yet hardto interpret) information about a specific relationship towards others. This included the AncientEnemy Azdaja (AEA), Augmented Foreign Narodnya (AFN), Deviant Automata Vila (DAV),

Hivelinked Foreign Narodnya (HFN), Non-augmented Foreign Narodyna (NFN), and NavkaOvermind Noemata (NON). It is still disputed, what those phrases are standing for. There are someindications that “foreign Narodnya” might refer to New Eden’s human late societies, “Azdaja” seemsto refer to the Drifters, and the “Vila” are most likely Rogue Drones of different form and affiliation. The “Navka”, on the other hand, are harder to determine. The expression might refer to a RogueDrone or infomorph subgroup. Here is lots of room for research and theorizing. Except for NFN andNON, several dedicated datastreams with crucial information exist so far:

• Trinary Datastream AEA1, AEA2, AEA3, AEA4, AEA5, AEA6

• Trinary Datastream AFN1, AFN2, AFN3, AFN4, AFN5, AFN6

• Trinary Datastream DAV1, DAV2, DAV3, DAV4, DAV5, DAV6

• Trinary Datastream HFN1, HFN2, HFN3, HFN4, HFN5, HFN6

9

Page 13: Exposition of Missing Knowledge · 2019-11-24 · motivation behind the following exposition of (missing) knowledge about the Convocation of Triglav. It is a dense exposition of an

Each Datastream basically deals with one of four relationship between the Convocation of Triglavand another group in New Eden. It becomes obvious that they have a shared history with the

Drifters and the Rogue Drones and they relate themselves to other humans of New Eden, forexample Sansha’s Nation, capsuleers who dive into the abyssal deadspace or confront themon the invasion battlegrounds. Arguably, the Triglavian Collective must be aware of our differentfactions by now. Even pirate groups and alliances in the Null Security territories are said to havedived deeply into the Abyss.

Most notably, the Convocation seems to be concerned with others especially from an evaluativeperspective. Others are compared to directives and standards, and they are frequently proved bycombat. This seems to be a very strong motive when confronted with others. The exact nature of thismotivation remains a mystery by large. New Eden has reacted in compliance and engaged on theproving grounds inside and outside the abyss – paying a bloody toll doing so. On the other hand, oursocieties have reacted in very different ways as well. Popular culture has embraced the “Trigmania”and the economy openly embraced them with marketing strategies. The Convocation’s actions

against and within our Galactic Network and communications infrastructure suggests that theyare constantly watching us. So, our controversial behavior in reaction to their actions is likely toaffect them recursively as well. Thus, media and discourse analysis may provide indirect insights intothe Conclave’s perception of us as well.

3.4 Identity formation and perception of history

Even more obscure and hard to assess is the Convocation of Triglav’s formation of identity andtheir perception of history, of which they certainly have some kind of understanding. Regardingthe question of identity, it is most striking that they organize themselves in a rigid order of clades, castes, and specialized roles. With this social segmentation comes a clear expectation of goalachievement, occupation, and almost pre-programmed behavior. However, identity encompassesmore than just the social structure. There are many clues which hint at a very unique, alien mindsetand psychological disposition of unknown nature. A vital example is the “being as a trinity” expressedin many of the evidence available. Also, the strong collective integration of the Triglavian societyleaves us puzzled about the relationship between individual identity formation at the one hand andthe individual as a functionally integrated part of a rigid social structure on the other. The role offunctionality and individuality has to be investigated further by cultural, sociological, and psychologicalanalysis.

This includes, of course, the Convocation’s view on history – their own and of others. Assumingthat the Collective has its root beyond the EVE Gate like any other civilization we have met so far, there had been a long-time retreat of the Conclave, probably an exile into the abyssal deadspace. And this came to a sudden end just a few months ago. This theory is supported by some phrasesgleaned from datastreams. Retreat and revelation have to be embedded in a Triglavian narrativeabout the own origins and future development. This narrative would prove vital to our understandingof the Convocation of Triglav. Key events in their history are to be discovered and interpreted as well.

3.5 Physical and Genetical Characteristics and Differences

While this paper is written, we have no comprehensive understanding of Triglavian physical ap-pearance, bodily functions, or genetic relationship. While the Drifters and other Jove relied heavilyon genetic manipulation, the only hint we have about the Triglavian Collective is the heavy use ofbioadaptive technology, especially in the form of designed bacteria colonies which interact withmaterials and tissues of all kind. From recovered Triglavian Survival Suits we know that thistechnology is applied directly to their bodies. Research on the physiological features, genetic code, and bioadaptive body modifications are among the current top priorities.

4 Knowledge of Spirituality

In contrast to the knowledge of identity discussed above, which was concerned with the constructionof the individual in its social context, knowledge of spirituality deals with the construction of meaningand placing in the world as a whole. Spirituality in this sense is understood as a loving (e. g. caringand engaging) participation in and with the world. We have to ask for the inner motivation, meaning, and ethics of the Triglavian lifeform; how do they define purpose, a meaningful life, and personalfulfillment? Again, information can only be gleaned indirectly from the little evidence we have.Compared to their social organization, the conception of an ethical and meaningful life is even deeperhidden in psychological levels and layers of their lifeworld. In order to explore such depths, we haveto find a holistic understanding of the Convocation of Triglav, integrating all that we know about theirtechnological, social, psychological, and historical features.

4.1 Construction of Meaning, Ethics, and Politics

How is a meaningful world constructed within the Convocation of Triglav? What are the underlyingmotivations and goals which drive their actions? Transhumanist social theory and philosophy ischallenged by such questions in order to achieve an understanding of a probably quiet alien mindset.Anyway, we can’t help but start from our own position and understanding of the world. What wesee are indications of colonialism as Triglavian forces leave their abyssal retreats and aggressivelyexpand their influence into New Eden. The reason for this sudden expansion is unknown. Where didthey come from in the first place, how did they get into the abyssal realms and why are they emergingnow? Given the immense resources and dedication they show, only a driving, collective motivationcan be imagined as the cause. Besides that, how does the Collective ensure its own resilience whenleaving the abyss and confronting a diverse network of human societies? Their own social integrationand continued existence is at stake; – to put it slightly differently: how does the Conclave deal withsocial change among their own society? Can we expect them to finally bridge the gap of awkwardcommunication and confront us in a less aggressive way, even cooperating, bonding, sharing, andintermingling? If this happens, what will emerge as the Triglavian core being?

When it comes to meaning, politics, and ethics, there is some shy evidence for possible directionsof inquiry. For example, we have some mentioning of prayer and references to ritualistic settings of

different kind. This can be seen on the Xordazh-class World Ark battlegrounds and the abyssalProving Grounds, where they demand and force us to engage in ritual combat. We see some

evidence that the Convocation of Triglav has a strong symbolic perception of things, stressing thedifference between symbolic exchange and value based exchange. For example, there have beenno raids or trading attempts and so far, none of the three major clades is related to a traditionaleconomy. If they harvest resources or engage in industry for market consumption, we don’t knowyet. It is possible, however, that their understanding of “value” differs greatly from ours and mustbe primarily interpreted from a perspective of symbolic exchange, e. g. in order to achieve socialmobility or ensure that cosmological principles are adhered to. This might close the circle and refer tothe trinity as a universal concept of world interpretation. What is the secret of the Number of Three? How deep does it reach into the core values and dispositions of the Convocation of Triglav?

4.2 The Concept of Proving and Conflict

It has been mentioned above already that the Convocation of Triglav has an affinity to proving, evaluation, and the fulfillment of several different and not yet understood standards. Most prominently, this can be seen on the World Ark proving grounds, the Triglavian invasions in general, and theabyss pockets. We are actively engaged, encouraged, and forced to engage in proving. This is amany-faceted aspect of the Convocation. Its ritualistic and symbolic purpose has been mentionedalready as well. However, while we are proved, some specific groups are confronted with a differentattitude. Namely the Drifters (Vigilant Tyrannos), Rogue Drones, and members of Sansha’s Nationseem to be in a completely different relationship with the Triglavian Collective than other capsuleersor inhabitants of New Eden. We can assume that proving is not a universal concept of conflictsolving. There is also directed aggression against groups or actions which does not require a provinganymore (“extirpation”). Non-compliance with Triglavian evaluative standards is already documentedand outright violence sanctioned within the clade hierarchy. However, the exact reasons for thisadvanced-state conflicts and any process of evaluative decision-making remain to be determined.

4.3 The Abyss as a Radical Change of the Human Condition

The last research field introduced in this paper shall be the relationship between the TriglavianCollective and their chosen homeland, the abyssal domain. It is argued that a millennium-oldexposition to the abyss plays a fundamental role in the interpretation of the Triglavian mindset. In amore technical sense, we must assume that the abyssal deadspace, its very unique gravitationaland environmental conditions within, and the application of bioadaptive technology bestows a majorinfluence on their nature. For example, we don’t know if they could live and exist outside their survivalsuits aboard our stations or under k-space conditions in general. But also on a philosophical levelwe can assume that the extended existence in a specific lifeworld and environment with largelysuspended or alternative physical paradigms does shape the mind in a very special way. – The abyssas a radical change of the human condition might be comparable to the Sleeper infomorph networksor similar suspensions of the average human lifeworld. is an excellent example for the challenge we face – and how we can possibly find a way to arrangeourselves with the unsettling strangeness we face.

5 Conclusion

Three perspectives on what we know and don’t know about the Convocation of Triglav have beenproposed as an introduction into and guideline for the research on the Triglavian Collective. Theclassical distinction between knowledge of control, identity, and spirituality showed that we have quietsome evidence and observations in order to engage in research about the first one, the situationis more sparse and hence more urgent for the latter two. Reverse-engineering and analysis oftechnological artifacts has been successful in many areas, but we lack insight into psychology, socialorganization, ethics, world view, and goals of the newfound society of Triglav.

The given outline is meant to inspire further research efforts and to make it easier to approach thewhole topic from a systematic perspectives. Of course, there are already research groups workingon several subjects discussed above. Some were mentioned on the fly. The proper integration of allthe detailed knowledge we have is still a pending achievement and goes far beyond the scope of thisexposition of (missing) knowledge.
