All that we do is to aim forthe ‘wow’ effect.

I joined the Emotions Team in March 2016.After nearly 15 years in the banking sector,

I wanted to embrace a new challenge and this opportunity arrived at the right time. I had never imagined that the tourism sector was such an exciting one.

We are in constant innovation and working in close collaboration with our internal departments to always exceed our clients’ expectation. We “sell” dream and souvenir and is very gratifying for me to act like an angel, keeping an eye on clients while they are in-house to ensure a smooth running of their stay.

I think that’s what seduces me in this sector. All that we do is to aim for the “wow” effect. The attention to all the details commencing as from the first contact with the TO, reservations and till the departure of clients is amazing and so fascinating.

I remember having thought that I cannot imagine travelling in another way that the “Emotions Style”. I found my place at Emotions and am proud to contribute to its growing success every day.

Held on 05th September 2016, Turkish Airlines in collaboration of MTPA ( Mauritius

Tourism Promotion Authority ) have organised a workshop in few Eastern Europe countries.

Mrs Linda Boodhna, director of Sales and Marketing was present during the one which

took place in Budapest. This event offered ‘Emotions’ the opportunity to strengthen its development strategy on this market.

With his 2 Hungarian Speaking guides, we are today proud to welcome more and more Hungarian guests to Mauritius.

Nadia Makarenko, the Emotions director of Sales based in Ukraine attended lTM IN Kiev on 27th September 2016. Our second participation to this event gave us the opportunity to meet tour operators from regional cities like Kharkov, Odessa and dnepro.

MTPA ( Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority) have reinforced the image of Mauritius on the Russian market by participating to one of the important fair in Moscow which was held from 21st till 24th September 2016.

Nadia Makarenko, the Emotions director of Sales based in Ukraine, attended the fair.

David Collard, our Managing director attended IFTM-TOP RESA in Paris from 20th to 23rd September 2016. This fair remains the perfect plat-form to meet with our main partners in France for both the FIT & MICE segments.

Our annual ‘rendez-vous’ with our UK and worldwide partners is at our doorstep! This year again, ‘Emotions’ shall be present at the World Travel Market trade fair in london from 07th to 09th November.

Rheena Dookun-Adolphe, our Senior director, shall be attending the fair and looking forward to meeting with you all.

‘Emotions’ will not miss the ‘rendez-vous’ again this year on the Mauritius stand, in Barcelona. We will gladly meet with you for a catch up on the destination.

IN KIEV

Kiev on 15th September 2016Emotions hosted their best Ukrainian partners for a cocktail at the Hilton Hotel in Kiev.

This event was the perfect platform for Mrs Linda Boodhna, director of Sales & Marketing & Nadia Makarenko, director of Sales for Russia & CIS countries, to spend a relaxed and friendly evening with our best trade partners. The highlight of the evening was a Mehendi session for the ladies and also the tasting of some pastries brought from Mauritius. And to thank them for their support in selling Mauritius, each guest received a special gift hand made from our island.

Hungary on 09th September 2016Emotions destination Management, Emirates & Attitude Resorts hosted an event in Budapest on the 09th September 2016.

Mrs Linda Boodhna, Sales & Marketing director made a full presentation of Emotions services to all the 45 participants who attend the event, which was followed by a pleasant dinner.

This event reinforced the positioning of Emotions on the Hungarian market as well as our collaboration with Emirates Airlines in Hungary and Attitude.

AVICENNA wanted to leave a sustainable trace of their visit in on the island. It all

started with a visit of CARITAS in Pte aux Piments (the charity association giving various assistances to poor and excluded people through community development, training and income-generating projects.) in the beginning of their stay.

A project was identified; Caritas needed to construct a kitchen together with a multi-purpose open area which will be used by children for homework, projects or by adults as well. They did not have the fund to start the construction and they required MUR 350,000.

A Tombola was set for the gala dinner of AVICENNA and in the end more than MUR 700,000 was collected and offered to Caritas for the project. It was a moment of intense emotions, especially when the sum collected was announced on stage to the responsible of the project.

Participants from Russia, South Africa, Singapore , Australia and other countries will be welcomed and assisted by Emotions during this event which will be held in le Morne area from 25th October till 05th November 2016.

Prior to launching Fly & Go ATW AB, specializing in Sales & Marketing representations for the

travel and tourism industry, Madeleine Askebrink was the former GSA for Air Mauritius in Sweden for the last 3 years. Before that she was employed at the MK GSA Stockholm office as Sales and Marketing Manager for 7 years.

Emotions destination Management, in its strategic direction for developing the Free Individual Traveller (FIT) and MICE business from

the above mentioned markets, is delighted of this new collaboration with Madeleine Askebrink.

This is an exciting time of growth for Emotions destination Management with a number of niche developments in the pipeline, and a clear focus on building on our established Sales & Marketing structure to support this strategic move.
