ARCHAEOLOGICAL MUSEUM OF AIANI

The wealth of archaeological finds at Aiani called for the construction of a large new museum with modern facilities. This museum, which was founded in 1992 and finally completed, with all its fittings and exhibition, in March 2009, was intended to house the Prehistoric and Classical antiquities from Aiani but it also contains the thousands of finds from the salvage excavations necessitated by the construction of new roads in the national and provincial road network. These excavations were completed recently but at the same time new ones have been commenced as a result of the large-scale public works under way in the prefectures of Kozani and Grevena.

THE MULTICENTER MUSEUM OF AIGAI

The site of Aigai consists of the Polycentric Museum, the palace, the city, the acropolis and the surrounding area. Visiting the site’s exhibitions that are open to public, such as the royal burial cluster of Philip II, and those still under construction (the Virtual Museum for Alexander the Great and the New Building of the Polycentric Museum), and touring the site’s monuments (palace, royal necropolis of the Temenid dynasty), which are currently in the process of conservation and promotion, as well as exploring the Virtual Museum of Alexander the Great and the digital tour in the ancient Macedonian kingdom, visitors can formulate a general and rather dynamic view of the ancient capital of the Macedonian kingdom and, at the same time, comprehend its historical significance.

KASTORIA - CAVE DRAGON

The cave is located on the north side of the city in the 2nd km of the lakeside road Soungaridi and just before the Monastery of Panagia Mavriotissa. The entrance is approximately twenty (20) meters from the lake shore and 14 meters from the road. Inside there are large portions of land and lake with impressive decoration drip as it includes seven (7) underground lakes, ten (10) rooms, five (5) corridors – tunnels.

SCHOOL OF ARISTOTLE

A place of universal interest, the ruins of Aristotle's School, is a found only 2 kilometers away from the contemporary Naoussa, at the district of Isvoria. Here is the place with the racing water and the deeply-shaded caves, mentioned by the ancient writers, where the greatest philosopher of antiquity taught the greatness of classical Greek thought and the ideals of the Platonic philosophy to the King's of Macedonia, Phillip II, son, Alexander and the other nobles of the Macedonian court. The encounter of these two great personalities of the ancient world at the Nympheon of Mieza would definitely affect the future of mankind.

THICKET OF AGIOS NIKOLAOS – NAOUSSA

The thicket of Agios Nikolaos is a Pan-Hellenic tourist centre of recreation and daylong excursion which is located about 3 kilometres south-west of the heroic town of Naoussa. An earthly paradise in the heart of Imathia. A breath of life against the ecological diminution.

ACHERON RIVER

The triumph of Love over Death: Orpheus, son of the muse Calliope, was devastated by the death of his wife Eurudice. With his weeping lyre he achieved to move the king and queen of the dead, Hades and Persephone, and won himself a chance to claim the blossom of his heart back from the Kingdom of Silence. To do so, he had to cross the Acheron River, the watery border between Life and Death.

WATERFALLS OF EDESSA

Waterfalls of Edessa are located in the rock side to a unique geopark sculptured water called “city eyebrow “11 falls. Both are large, visible , visited and offer a unique atmosphere of the power of nature , creating the myth of the water state. The Geopark Falls spans an area of over 100.000tm and a path on the rock for 1.1 km (From Xenia & Varosi , the Water Museum , Falls Park to the Upper Hearth ) . Very close to the city center is the main tourist attraction and one of the main attractions in Greece.

LOUTRA POZAR

The Center Loutraki is known from ancient times. Legends, and some other findings, speaking for the use of thermal waters, the era of Alexander the Great and on Roman and Byzantine period. The Hot Springs Baths are spa tourism center, as used by visitors mainly for therapeutic reasons. The forms of hydrotherapy that apply to them are: Hydrotherapy and drinking therapy. For the implementation spa there are three spas water basin with two eight group pools, of which 6 are new and individual baths.

SKI CENTER VASILITSA

In a magical environment in the northwestern part of the prefecture of Grevena, a

distance of 42 km, from the capital of the county, in the heart of the immortal

SKI CENTER VORRA-KAIMAKTSALAN

The term Vorras (or Kaimaktsalan) is the third highest mountain in Greece. The Ski Center Vorra-Kaimaktsalan is 45 km from the beautiful city of Edessa and develops the southeast side of the mountain at an altitude of 2050-2480 meters. The visitors of ski Centre can catalyze in traditional inns or even Chalet of ski center located at 2,050 m. With panoramic, stunning views of the lake Vegoritida.

The ski center 3-5 Pigadia is located on the west side of Mount Vermio at an altitude of 1430-2005 meters. It is 17 km. the town of Naoussa and the paved road always remains open during the winter season. 3-5 Pigadia is a hotel and guest house throughout the year. The excellent infrastructure of the ski center, in addition to winter sports, offers a variety of activities.

CORFU

PARGA

Parga in Greece is the most popular summer destination in Epirus. This small town is

situated in a secluded bay of the Ionian Sea and has an intense island feeling. The

colorful houses of Parga Greece are constructed amphitheatrically along the slopes of

a mountain, offering nice view to the sea. A green islet with a white church stands at

the entrance of the port, while the ruined walls of a Venetian castle can be seen on top

of a hill above the town. Most of all, it is famous for the amazing beaches with the

exotic water. With a convenient location in western Greece, Parga is a good base for

day excursions to Sivota, Preveza and even Lefkada.
