Expanding RPRGs
Minimum core functions:1) Technical/managerial support for review and development
of the annual work plans (AWP), drug requests, M&E activities, scaling up/down LF MDA, scaling up STH PC, and preparation of elimination dossier, for all PC diseases

2) Strategic advice on programmatic decisions for all PC diseases (TAS eligibility, stop-MDA, deworming frequency etc.)

Expanded RPRG Current RPRG
Review and provide guidance to countries in the development of their national plans for PC NTD control and elimination.
Review and provide guidance to countries in the development of national plans of action for LF
Conduct in-depth review and analysis of implementation and progress of the national programme.
Provide programmatic and logistical guidance to national programmes, including scaling up and scaling down of PC.
Review the implementation and progress of national programmes
Review the annual work plan of the national programme on the basis of the progress to date, based on which requests for drug donations of ALB, DEC, MEB and PZQ will be cleared by ROs.
Review also drug applications for ALB, DEC and PZQ make recommendations to WHO on approval.
AND each member is responsible for 'backing-up' a certain number of countries to ensure that programmatic and technical questions are addressed before RPRG meetings.
Provide technical guidance in the implementation of the recommendations of the Technical Advisory Group
Identify operational research issues for PC NTDs and refer them to NTD-STAG and its WGs.
Identify operational research issues arising out of implementation of LF programmes and refer issues to the relevant research institutions
Report matters related to achievement of NTD elimination targets by countries
Advise WHO on matters related to verifying the interruption of transmission of LF
Advocate and support WHO member states in seeking political commitments from governments and MoH for PC NTDs
Advocate and support the member states in seeking political commitments for the elimination of LF
