Purpose: To teach others how to solve the Rubik’s Cube.

Elements of the design you like: I really like the colours of the websites because it is very catching and the tabs on the top makes it very easy to navigate around the website.

Elements of the design you dislike: The websites had at least 15 tabs making it hard to decide where everything is, so I think the wording of the tabs must be clearer. For example, what does “other” contain?

Any feature you think is missing: I think the website should put more videos or interactive elements to make it more interesting.

Site Name: You Can do the Rubik’s Cube

The logo of the website is very colourful. I especially liked the idea of using the rubik’s cube as the dot on the I, I think the idea is quite creative.

Tab titles in the colours of the Rubik’s cube, this makes the website look more appealing and it definitely fits the purpose of the website.

A rubik’s cube is put on the homepage of the website, allowing viewers to know straight away what the website is about.

There are a few motos on the site, for example: You can do it! This draws the viewers attention and it directly addresses the viewer so the site is interacting with the viewer.

Target Audience: People who solve rubik’s cube regularly.

Purpose: A platform for rubiks cube lovers to communicate

Elements of the design you like: I liked the fact that there are only a few tabs on the top of the website so I can easily scroll throguh.

Elements of the design you dislike: The colours of the website are really dull making the website look really unattractive. Also there a adverts which are animations which can distract the viewer and make the site look not professional and misses the purpose.

Any feature you think is missing: the website does not offer an online store meaning that the cubers would not be able to buy a cube from this website, I think they are missing out on a lot of business opportunities because people who are interested in cubing would also like to buy cubes.

Site Name: Rewix

There is a logo on the website because I don’t think it is related to the rubik’s cube is any way, so it does not give a clear sense what this website is about.

Adverts are quite distracting and they do not link to the idea of rubik’s cube so the website doesn’t fit it it’s purpose.

There are only a few tabs on the site which makes it a lot eaier to navigate.

The buttons on the front page look really dull, although there are images for each button, making it easier for the viewer to see which link is about, I don’t like the design.

Target Audience: People who want to try speed cubing

Purpose: A platform for rubiks cube people who want to learn how to solve the rubik’s cube quickly

Elements of the design you like: I liked the videos, especially the one on the top right because it gives an introduction to what a rubik’s cube can do which fits the site’s purpose.

Elements of the design you dislike: There are only a few colours used in the website and they are not really related to the rubik’s cube. Also I think there is too much text on the front page.

Any feature you think is missing: I think an online shop is missing from this website and more pictures of the rubik’s cube and not only text and videos.

Site Name: Lube The Cube

The colours of the website is very plain with mainly blue, black and orange. I think to make the website look more eyecatching, more colours should be used.

There are only 6 tabs on the website, so it is quite easy to navigate around and the descriptions on the tabs are quite detailed so viewers would know what the pages are about.

There are videos on the front page so I think viewers would like it because it is more interesting than pictures and text.

There is a lot of words on the site so sometimes it can be too overwhelming for the viewer.
