EVENT PROFILEThe FLC national meeting is one of the most anticipated annual events in the technology transfer community that offers both training and networking opportunities designed to facilitate attendees’ commercialization endeavors.

This year’s national meeting will be held in Orlando, FL, April 23 - April 25, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency Orlando. The meeting will center on our nation’s continuedfocus to move federal research and development fromout of the lab and into the marketplace by strengtheningrelationships with the private sector.

TECH TRANSFER TRAININGThe FLC offers a full day of training designed to meet the professional development requirements of all T2 professionals—from beginners to experienced practitioners. This year’s training day features seven different courses providing a T2 overview for beginners, to in-depth, advanced workshops.

NETWORKINGEach day, the national meeting provides ample time for sharing and strategizing technology transfer best practices, as well as a significant opportunity to network with laboratory and agency representatives, medium and small-business enterprises, and startups to discover technology needs and form potential partnerships.

MEETING SESSIONSWith an array of prominent expert tech transfer speakers and an agenda that cover topics ranging from federal lab commercialization to licensing and litigation strategy, the FLC national meeting offers informative sessions that appeal to a business and technology R&D audience.

FLC AWARDS CEREMONYOn Wednesday, April 25, the FLC will recognize the 2018 FLC award winners for their outstanding efforts in realizing the technology transfer potential in their laboratories.
