Eleven years of rally-raid competition, the DAKAR in particular

with 4 seasons in the motorbike category followed by over 6

years at the wheel of my American Chevrolet Silverado pickup,

have allowed me to acquire the experience necessary to

quickly be able to target further wins at the highest level.

It was necessary to put all the advantages on the side of

Pro-System Racing for us to succeed in our project to run

this exceptional racing vehicle, the Trophy Truck, under the

French flag. Our ambition is to improve it, evolve and adapt

it so that we can drive it to victory in competitions as prestigious

as the Dakar, most of the other rally-raids or the Paris 24

Hours 4x4 endurance event.

We have already achieved important milestones that

confirm the potential of the whole of the Pro-System Racing

team, notably our 1st place in the open category of Dakar

2006 and the Tunisia rally in 2007.

Our objectives are clearly defined. We have set our sights on

winning back our 1st place (open category) at Dakar 2008

and to achieving a good placing amongst the first 10 in the

overall results.

Let us take on these challenges together and share this

adventure which is at the same time both professional and

terribly human, this passion to win

You will be investing in a well thought-out project centred on high-

performance vehicles that are spectacular and unclassifiable,

led by a united and enthusiastic team

My team and I would be proud to wear your colours on the

steps of the next victory podiums.

Thank you in advance for your confidence!»

Words from a man of conviction

«When I decided to develop a private motor racing structure in 2003,

it was a teenager’s dream come true.

To put together a winning combination with the official support of a

car manufacturer (General Motors), with talented, passionate and

adventurous men as well as having René METGE as my mentor, was and

always will be a real challenge that is a pleasure to face over the years.

René METGE has an exhaustive list of titles. He competed 18 times in the Dakar,

winning it several times, raced 8 times at the Le Mans 24 Hours, also notched

up several class wins. He has also been an organiser of the Dakar and many

other rally-raid. He is a driver without equal, a leader of men and also a talent

scout. When he first noticed Eric VIGOUROUX during a Master Rally in 1999

competing on a “quad”, he saw proof of extraordinary pugnacity and endurance

when Eric finished the race in the top 10 of the overall motorbike results (a record

unbeaten to this day).

Since then he has been at his side quite often, taking part in the activities of

Pro-System Racing, sometimes even at the wheel of the Chevrolet pickup during

the last 4 years when the French 24 hours 4x4 event is held.

«Watching Eric evolve, I had the impression that I was watching myself twenty years earlier»

confided René METGE, with a lot of affection in his voice. «In him, I recognise the same driving

forces that pushed me forward back then.»

«He really surprised me with his capacity to build a team around him that would do anything

to achieve a fixed objective. He knows how to gain and maintain the confidence of those

around him and to lead his team with a lot of aptitude. He has confidence in others and

delegates when necessary. All of this demonstrates his capacity to be an excellent team

manager.

But to be a driver, you have to be courageous and calm at the same time. It is not easy to remain

unruffled for ten hours in a row when you’re at the wheel of a vehicle with enormous potential,

like the Chevrolet Trophy Truck. One is always tempted to take a risk that one shouldn’t. But Eric

has undeniably reached this level of maturity after over 10 years of experience.

I also welcome the respect he has for his sponsors. He has that quality of communication

which you won’t find in all the teams. He sticks to his commitments and makes sure that

the team’s image is irreproachable.

I know that he possesses an ambitious guiding force, but it is always realistic. He put all the

advantages on his side, knowing how to get the best from the still modest means he has

at his disposal.

I sincerely believe that he is going to go far. He has all the qualities required to last, notably

the quality of modesty. His current and future sponsors will be only too pleased with this.»

Eric VIGOUROUXBorn 15th August1965 in Puy en Velay (43), France - Married - 2 children

Pro-System Racing Team Manager and Driver

It was at the heart of the Massif Central region where he grew up that he acquired

his taste for competition and adventure. In 1986, he took a course at the Formula

Ford driving school in Montlhéry. After having begun an intense professional life with

the creation and development of his business Pro-System, Eric VIGOUROUX

succeeded in leading a parallel full sporting life in car racing, where values are very

similar.

Rally-raid in quads from 1995 to 2000 and now in a Chevrolet Silverado pickup,

a spectacular machine but reputed to be difficult to drive, Eric Vigouroux has created

a strong identity for himself with pertinent choices that always marry originality

and performance.

Highlights of successes (cars category)

• Dakar 2001: 1st participation in a car and already a finisher in Bruno SABY’s team

• Winner of the 24 hours 4x4 in Paris from 2001 onwards,

• 14th overall in the 2003 Dakar,

• Victory in the OPEN category of Dakar 2006 (finished in the first 10 every day

during the last 4 stages of the race),

• 2nd overall in the SHAMROCK Rally 2006,

• Victory in the OPEN category of the Tunisia Rally 2007.

Mechanic then navigator, he has quickly become the indispensable co-pilot at Eric’s

side for facing the best challenges together. Their perfect understanding of each

other coupled with a close friendship makes them one of the most solid duos on

the scene.

«1st draft of Trophy Truck version 2 during conception»

An extraordinary vehicle

The Chevrolet Silverado «TROPHY-TRUCK»

By signing an official partnership with Chevrolet USA in 2003 and Chevrolet

Europe (GM group) since 2006, Eric Vigouroux has launched his Pro-System

Racing team into an exceptional task of developing this off-road racing vehicle. The

official support of the world’s leading car manufacturer allows Team Pro-System

Racing access to a tremendous network of skills in the competition domain.

This is how after 4 years’ experience with an American prototype of the Protruck

type, Eric Vigouroux has now decided to compete in the “Trophy Truck” class (the

king of classes in the USA). In this new machine’s first competition outing,

Pro-System Racing won the open class in the DAKAR 2006 Rally and has regularly

placed in the first 10 amongst the works cars. With new developments in new

technologies, the Pro-System Racing prototypes are amongst the most reliable

A partnership for an unclassifiable and impressive vehicle

The combination of American technology and the experience in rally-raid events of

Eric Vigouroux’s team will continue to make the Trophy Truck a formidable weapon

that combines originality, robustness and reliability over the forthcoming seasons.

The launch of version 2 of the Trophy Truck is already scheduled and should arrive

on European soil in the medium term.

An organised network

After 10 years of evolution in the rally-raid world and motor sport in general,

Eric VIGOUROUX is now in a position to mobilise the best skills in all domains of

automotive competition.

Experienced mechanics and engineers

At the last Dakar, the team comprised 10 people, including 7 experienced mechanics

and a stocks manager, all loyal to Pro-System Racing since the beginning.

Means adapted to the stakes

• A stable of 3 racing vehicles: 2 Protrucks and 1 Trophy Truck (all Chevrolet

Silverado pickups)

• A fully-equipped 1,300m2 workshop in the Paris region, wholly dedicated to the

preparation of rally-raid vehicles.

• There will soon be a base in San Diego (California)

A fleet of perfectly-suited support vehicles

• A 4 x 4 lorry for rapid assistance

• A 6 x 6 lorry specially equipped for the transport of spare parts

• A lightweight 4 x 4 for transporting the mechanics

In 2008, setting up: PRO-SYSTEM RACING U.S.A.

As part of his next installation in California (San Diego), Eric VIGOUROUX has a

project to create a satellite that will be able to work more closely with the best

specialists in the discipline (constructors, assistants and drivers).

This American base will allow him to take part in the major off-road challenges

(Baja 500, Baja 1000) and build new vehicles locally that are intended for racing

in Europe.

Ever-increasing media coverage.

Eric VIGOUROUX, present on the rally-raid circuits for over 10 years, has made

his mark of seriousness, speed and reliability, qualities appreciated as much by

the organisers, public and other teams as by the media.

The pairing of Eric VIGOUROUX/Alexandre WINOCK and their very spectacular

American pickup makes it a striking subject for journalists and as a result, an ideal

promotional platform for the team’s partners! The numerous reports on television

or in magazines, with each issue of TROPHY TRUCK, are a perfect demonstration

of this.

Page 10: EVR past presentation

A subsidiary of General Motors Corp., the largest vehicle

manufacturer worldwide has been in official partnership with

Pro-System Racing since 2003. This agreement is not only

essential for the supply of the mechanical components such as the famous 7-litre

Corvette engine, but also for benefiting from the advice of the engineers in the

competition department (GM Racing).

Founded in 1911, Chevrolet was born as a result of a meeting

between Louis Chevrolet, a European engineer, and William

Durant, an American who would later become the founder of

General Motors. The Chevrolet brand has strong ties with Europe.

From 1924 to 1965, almost 250,000 Chevrolet cars left the factories in

Copenhagen, Antwerp, Biel, Warsaw and Berlin each year for European customers.

Chevrolet embodies essential values: proven technology, quality and reliability,

personal style and very good value for money. Specially conceived for the

European market, the new Chevrolet range is sold through a large network of

distributors in 44 countries. The Pro-System Racing team also benefits from the

official support of CHEVROLET Europe, which can be seen by the unique visual

identity, similar to the CHEVROLET Lacetti cars that take part in the WTCC

championship.

This manufacturer has decided to accompany Pro-System Racing

in its rise to the highest victory podiums, in particular by supplying

it with extraordinary tyres that use the latest technology. Pleasure and performance

have been the fundamental guidelines for TOYO for over 60 years in its quest for

absolute quality. Japanese technological know-how linked with the discipline of its

engineers have taken TOYO into the closed circle of the world’s top 10 manufacturers.

TOYO is recognised as a reference for Ultra High Performance tyres.

Sales of about 30 million tyres annually, 3200 associates, 7 factories around the

world.

Tyres: car, utility, 4x4, lorry, for summer and winter.

Dakar 200830 th edition

One objective: TO WIN the Open Category AGAINThe Dakar is more than ever THE off-road challenge on the planet. Eric VIGOUROUX

has made it his principal objective because success in the Dakar sets the tone

for the rest of the season. Teams prepare for the Dakar the whole year and the

intermediate competitions are considered as “real life” tests.

For 4 years in a row now, the Dakar has been run as a closed event. This is notably

because of the increasing international infatuation with the event, particularly in

Russia, Asia, the United States but also in Europe. Being at the starting line of

this prestigious competition is already a victory. To finish and achieve one’s objectives

is a real crowning glory!

As in 2006, Eric VIGOUROUX is once more setting his sights on winning the open

category (won by the American driver Robby Gordon in the previous edition).

What is more, finishing in the overall top ten is definitely within the team’s reach.

For this, Eric VIGOUROUX will have to do better than a number of works vehicles,

which he has already done every year he was at the wheel of his new Trophy

Truck. Despite a significantly smaller budget, the Pro-System Racing team is

proud that it can regularly compete for the top places against the official structures

of the largest makes. Getting big results with small means is an additional challenge

that the men at Pro-System Racing are used to facing...

For the 30th edition of the Dakar, the sporting teams that work on drawing up the

course have defined a first challenge. The goal is to offer drivers and teams a

total distance of special stages of around 6000 km, the longest timed distance

since 2002.

With more special stages and less liaison stages, the accent has been put on the

founding principles of rally-raid and the Dakar in particular: the taste for competition,

a passion for the desert. The competitors will therefore find a lot of sand and

dunes to negotiate on their route.

Since 1997, Eric VIGOUROUX has taken part in all of the Dakar editions (except

2005). His consistent achievements, experience and pugnacity, coupled with the

performances of his vehicles make him one of the most newsworthy drivers on

the scene. Each year, Eric and his team are the subject of television reports on

all of the major national and international stations.

Bring together the means in order to satisfy its ambition for a

healthy start. Already, strongly supported by its’ car manufacturer

sponsor Chevrolet/General Motors, the TEAM profits from a solid

base.

Pro-System Racing is proud to be a private professional team. But

this freedom is very expensive. Eric VIGOUROUX also uses his energy

in the search for partners sharing this enthusiasm and this passion

for competition.

As creator and TEAM manager of Pro-System Racing, structure

relatively large, Eric VIGOUROUX is very attached to establish strong

and durable bonds with the all of his partners.

To request financing is an act of faith and to obtain them, whatever

the amount, is a true honour. It is in this state of mind which

Eric VIGOUROUX prospects his future partners with the conviction

that only the agreements « win/win » are viable.
