In photographic field light is to be considered as the most important one, which
is creating responsible for the sense of sight. Whether a grand landscape or an
intimate portrait, both types of photography should need to be lighting
otherwise the image will be shown blur. While taking photo’s, lighting is
somewhat being required to be always considered as that the part of the photo
shoot. So you have to be aware of the types of lighting and how to make the
most out of reach.
Front Lighting Photography- The lighting practice is that places lighting close
to the camera and directs light towards the target objects.
This may be a simple technique, but it can frequently be a challenge to the
photograph. While taking the front lighting, the light source directly comes
behind the photographer. It might be challenging -for the reason is that no
shadows are spread across the subject, causing the subject to become visible
almost two-dimensional view. That deficiency of depth used to create a well-
built pattern for your image.
Backlighting Photography- The lighting practice is that light is placed at the
back to an object or scene which makes such effects as depth of subject and
background.
Most of the photographer always said” don’t shoot into the sunlight”, but
sometimes it’s really workout, you can shoot in sun that image as a unique look.
You can create dramatic images with atmospheric perception in air such as
mist, fog or even population. Not like that front lighting, this will give emphasis
to depth and illustrate the viewer in.
Side lighting photography – The light striking the subject from the side position
of the camera. It creates shadows and highlights to make modelling on
the subject.
Compare to front lighting and back lighting photography, the Side lighting
photography is shows up texture and shapes that image capacity uncared for
other photographic technique. And also assists to add intensity and outward
appearance to your subjects.
Reflected lighting photography- The light comes from the light source for
example sun light, reflects off an object before it hits the subject to be shoot.
Basically this lighting is not coming directly; soft light is typically rebound off
of one surface to another surface. The place where the light can bounce back
and forward there only get the reflected light probably in room, pathway or
valley. It is a non-direct lighting consequently it is great for finding out the
textures and colours.
Diffused Lighting photography- This technique of light is coming from a fairly
large light source, namely window light or reflected light from the wall. The
light creates soft edges between shadows and highlights.
Diffused light is a very soft and also a non-direct lighting one. Compared to
others this is a good process to reduce the harsh shadows and hard contrast of
your subject. In case, it’s a cloudy day or soft box in the box, it makes trouble-
free to evenly light your subjects.
Spot Lighting Photography- A strong beam of light that illuminates just a small
area, used particularly to centre notice on a stage performer.
When the light source highlighting a particular part of the image. It helps to
segregate the focal point of your subject. It can create an incredibly nice
contrast to your image.
