Lumi Nova
•This digital game has been developed to support children agedbetween 7 and 12 years who are experiencing anxiety or worry.
•The game is based on ‘Exposure Therapy’, where a child is graduallyexposed to a worry and learns strategies to cope with this. It is wellvalidated and is gaining a good evidence base for the reduction ofchildhood anxiety.
•Children will need access to a mobile phone, tablet or laptop toengage with Lumi Nova.
How it works
•A parent/guardian needs to be involved with this game and helps thechild to identify (from a short survey) what 3 goals the child wouldbenefit from working on.
•Once identified, the game breaks these goals into achievable steps, ofwhich 75% are completed within the game itself. The remaining 25%are completed as real-life challenges.
•These real-life challenges can only be completed with a parentpresent.

•Within the game, the child can practise, and complete tasks as muchas they wish, and are supported by an owl character, who follows themand offers psycho-education regarding worries.
•Families will also receive guidance from our team on using theplatform, along with regular telephone check-ins from a practitioner totroubleshoot and provide ongoing support.
