    1. Marshalls Dojo (Paper Presentation)

Marshalls Dojo is your quintessential research paper based event where participants

present their research papers in front of a panel of judges who then question them

on various aspects of the same. Originality, clarity and logical soundness are the

major parameters on which the papers will be judged.

    PLEASE NOTE-

Marshalls Dojo, Blisspoints Paper Presentation Competition, is open for entries. The

theme for this years competition is Current Macroeconomic Issues in India: Policies

    and Perspectives

Entries are invited on the said theme. The last date for the submission of the abstract is 10th of September, 2013. The last date for submitting the paper is 20th of September, 2013. Please keep in mind that these are the LAST dates. You are recommended to make your submissions much before them.

Relevance to the theme will be an important criterion for selection of the abstract as

well as in deciding the winner.

All entries MUST cite the source of their data. Attempts must be made to keep the source precise to the last detail. Not doing the same can be grounds for rejection.

Team size should not be more than 3 members. All entries need to be emailed at: [email protected]

    2. Be An Economist

Think youre as rational a consumer as Mankiw expects? Have something to say

about the finance ministers stand on fiscal deficit? Then this is the event for you.

The only economic application event in the DU circuit that doesnt require a

profound knowledge of economic theory. All you need is an open and creative mind,

    logic and intuition.

  • 3. Quiz The Blisspoint Quiz is one of the trademark events of Sri Venkateswara College's Economics Festival. A general quiz with no specific theme, it brings together some of the best quizzers in an intense battle of wits. If you have a thirst for knowledge, and more importantly an insatiable need to prove it, then this is the place to be.

    4. Dalal Street

The market is weird. Every time one guy sells, another one buys, and they both

    think theyre smart.

Dalal Street, a mock stock exchange, an event that tests your mettle and drives you

to the very edge of your wits.

    5. Un-Manageable

Do you think you can manage Apple better than Tim Cooks? Are you Steve Job's

    reincarnate?

    If managing a business, making profits and lobbying relentlessly is your cup of tea;

then under the management hierarchy, you will shine in this game as you discover

how to handle a business in a more practical sense!

Beware, 'game' is a misnomer. It's a cut-throat competition! Can you manage it?

    6. Sell the Sizzle, Not the Steak

A marketing event. Coined by Edmund Wheeler, this aphorism reveals the crux of

marketing. Every product has a "sizzle", an X factor, a USP. Can you find the Sizzle?

    7. Horse Trade

The Barter System was the earliest and the simplest forms of market exchange.

Think its that simple? Try it and find out!

    8. Beg Borrow Steal An event which requires you to do search a list of items which will be given on the spot. All you need is some common sense and good running shoes

General Assembly, ECOSOC and UN Human Rights Commission (UNHRC).
