2. DATES

The 24th FINA DIVING GRAND PRIX. Madrid 2018 will be held from July 13rd to July 15th, 2018

3. RULES & REGULATIONS

The competition will be conducted in accordance to the FINA Rules and Regulations http://www.fina.org/sites/default/files/general/2018-02-06_dgp_rrs_2018.pdf

4. EVENTS & COMPETITION FORMAT

The FINA Diving Grand Prix Madrid 2018 comprises the following events:

3 m. Springboard Men and Women 10 m. Platform Men and Women 3 m. Springboard Synchro Men and Women 10 m. Platform Synchro Men and Women

The format for the individual events in the FINA Diving Grand Prix is the tournament system based only on dives with unlimited degree of difficulty (men six (6) dives, women five (5) dives).

The tournament consists of a preliminary competition, two (2) semi-finals with six (6) divers in each and a final with six (6) divers. Semi-final “A” comprises the divers ranked 12-10-8-6-4-2 and Semi-final “B” comprises the divers ranked 11-9-7-5-3-1 in the preliminary competition, however not more than two (2) divers from the Organising Federation may be counted among these twelve (12) divers. In the finals, the three (3) best divers from both semi-finals meet. In the semi-finals and finals, the divers start in the reverse order of their placing in the preliminary competition.

The synchronized events are held as direct finals and are run in accordance with FINA Rule D 3.7. If the Organising Federation enters two (2) teams only the best team counts.

The competition will be held in the indoor facility:

Changing rooms: All participants should bring a padlock for the use of the lockers in the

changing rooms.

Cancellation Penalties:

Until 45 days before arrival, no cancellation penalty. From 44 to 30 days before arrival: 30% cancellation penalty. From 30 to 15 days before arrival: 50% cancellation penalty. From 14 to 04 days before arrival: 75% cancellation penalty. From 72 hours before arrival: 100% cancellation penalty.

7. ARRIVALS AND DEPARTURES

The Organizing Committee will provide transport from the Madrid airport to the Hotel Colón to all those teams arriving from July 9th, and from the Hotel Colon to Madrid’s airport for those teams leaving July 15th (evening) and July 16th (one group per country). In case the arrival and departure times of team members will vary, and additional transport is needed, the respective team will bear the extra cost. Please advise that judges should travel with their team, otherwise additional cost will occur on arrival and departure.

8. FINAL ENTRY

Please send your final entry form before June 13th, 2018.

9. DIVING SHEETS

As the FINA Rules, all diving sheets are to be submitted no later than 24 hours before the commencement of the preliminary competition in each event.

The diving sheets will be handled through the Diverecorder program; you may have access through the web page (http://www.diverecorder.co.uk/onlinesheets/index.php) and download the program for filling the diving sheets. And then you may send the file to the following e-mail: [email protected] and [email protected] This process must be done between July 1st, 2018, up to 24 hours before the event.

10. TRAINING SCHEDULE

Swimming pool will be open for warming up at 09:30 hours

Swimming pool will be open for warming up at 07:30 hours

11. TECHNICAL MEETING It will be held on the 12 of July (Thursday) at 09:00 h. at the Hotel Colon

12. AWARDS

The three best qualified in each event will get Medals.

13. DOPING CONTROL

Doping tests will be conducted at this competition in accordance with the FINA rules.

15. OPENING CEREMONY

It will be held on the 14 of July (Saturday) at 16:30 h. only one diver per delegation.

16. MEDICAL SERVICE

The facility has the medical services for taking care of the public and athletes. During the dates of training

and competition there will be a life guard and 1 doctor for emergencies by the diving pool. The service

of emergencies ambulances of Madrid (SAMUR) will be alert for any service we may need. The nearest

Hospital is 400 m. from the facility. All teams must have their health insurance.
