How does your media product represent particular social groups?
As my product is priced at £3.00 the social economic category that my product is aimed at is either B or C1. This is because the buyers must nave money available to spend onsomething that is not essential. To aim to this social class I have given the magazine a muchsophisticated and expensive look. However I have still aimed my magazine at a younger audience by the use of bright colours that attract the readers attention. Although from myresearch I found that most of the people who bought magazines were female I still aimed my magazine at both male and female readers. I did this by using unisex colours that wouldn’t puta certain sex of reading the magazine, for example red and blue.

Looking back at your preliminary task, what do you feel you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product?
Ancillary productIn my ancillary product I didn’t know much about creating a magazine. In my ancillary task I did not use the Guttenberg principle very well. This is because the ‘150 new ways to revise!’ should be in the terminal area where the Readers eyes are drawn to. By doing this it would make the article stand out more. The useof colour on this front cover is not very good asthe white gets lost in the background of the Image. The main image in the background also does not use the rule of thirds very well. This is because there is not focal point of the Image.
Finish productsWhat I have improved on:• Photography as I have used the rule of thirds• Content• Layout as I have used the Guttenberg principleWhat I would change:• Spellcheck • The colours
