How are men and women represented in the magazine? Are both genders likely to

ANALYSIS

• Due to the cover star being a female. Most believed that women would be more likely to purchase the magazine, however, there are also males in the magazine. This would mean that the chances of men purchasing the magazine are not too low. Overall, I believe myself that the cover gives that magazine a slight hint of feminism due to its positive representation of women

Which ethnicity is dominant in the magazine? Is one ethnicity dominant over

the others? (Feedback)

• Dominated by British Africans and Caribbeans• Different cultures are represented• Not much of a variation within the ethnicities used, this may

limit audience• There is no dominant ethnicity due to there being more than

one

ANALYSIS

• I would like to believe I included a variety of ethnicities to some extent, though it is definitely dominated by black people of different origin. As many magazines of this genre tend to be black dominated, I believe all ethnicities are presented positively.

Representation of R’n’B and Grime fans

• The cover star is represented as outgoing, joyful and talented. It is common to see women represented in degrading ways, however there are role models out there in the genre such as Beyonce whom personalities like that of the cover star tend to reflect off. In this case, it can be said that fans of the genre are fun, considerate people with great ambitions.
