The costs for this Season (Appendix 3) were discussed by the EURORADIO Users' Group (Vienna, 12 June 2015). The projected base cost per organization is CHF 86 100. I take this opportunity to remind you that these are overall costs, whether you take all or only one event in the Season or in the Summer Festivals. Please note that the costs include the payments of the Radio music category for the Prix Europa, the Contemporary Music Fund, the Supplementary Hire Fees and Jazz Funds, as well as costs for the 2015 EURORADIO Summer Festivals (paid until 2010 by requested concerts), including costs for all protected operas (including critical editions), except for some operas duly mentioned in MUS. With this procedure, all EBU Music operations costs (formerly EURORADIO Season costs and EURORADIO Summer festivals costs) are covered by a single invoice, therefore optimizing administration. To make possible the preparation of the invoicing in September 2015, please enter your requests into MUS by 31 August 2015.

COSTS FOR THE 2015-2016 SEASON
All amounts are indicated in Swiss francs (1 Swiss franc = 1 Euro). Amounts in Euros are given for indication only. Invoices will be in Swiss francs. Preliminary remarks The EURORADIO costs cover all costs for the 2015-2016 EURORADIO Season, Met and the 2015 EURORADIO Summer Festivals. The participation by North American EBU Associate Members (USNPR, USAPM, USWFMT, USNYPR, CASRC, CACBC) in the 2015-2016 EURORADIO Season does not cover access to the Met operas. Since the 2009-2010 Season, EBU Associate Members have been charged the technical and satellite costs at 60% of the base cost, taking into consideration that they still have no access to live transmissions via the satellite network. As previously announced in the 2007-2008 EURORADIO Season document (DR/10721/SM), the reduced rate is 60% for this 2015-2016 Season. The EBU was able to negotiate the grands droits (including critical editions) for all EBU Members, including the Associate Members and Approved Participants. Pointing an extraordinary high number of protected operas in the 2015-2016 Season, the EURORADIO Users' Group decided at its meeting on 12 June 2015 in Vienna to withdraw from the EBU payment some protected operas of the 2015 Summer Festivals (Orff/Carmina Burana on 7.5.15) and the Met operas not offered live (Berg/Lulu on 27.2.16). This will be mentioned explicitly in the MUS offers. All the rights of the operas in critical editions will be covered by an EBU agreement. When authors' rights are hold by Ricordi, the autors' rights payement are due by the offering organization and by ITRAI.

1. Direct costs 1.1 Grands droits for the EURORADIO Season The operas performed in the EURORADIO Season in their critical version are not indicated here. The EBU Permanent Services are waiting for the complete list from the Publishers, in accordance with the 2010 agreement, which grant the Publishers to a lump sum of CHF 5 250 per opera given in critical edition. For the purpose of making the budget, a provision of CHF 200 000 is defined. Half of this amount (i.e. CHF 100 000) will be added to the DEARD costs.
