Year 2: Spreading The Message
We will create a plan to promote Europeana Cloud as a service (D6.4)
• Content providers need to understand:
• the benefits and advantages of sharing their content
• the revised Licensing Framework.
• Other stakeholders in the digital library community need to be aware of:

Our goal:
Find the best ways of convincing content providers and aggregators of the benefits and advantages of sharing content within the Europeana Cloud service.
How we’ll do it: Brainstorming Exercise
• Split into groups for two rounds of brainstorming (30 minutes total)
• Round #1: What key messages do we need to tell content providers and aggregators about Europeana Cloud?
• Reporting Back
• Round #2: How will you send those messages? Think about materials, channels, communications tools and methods.

What key messages do we need to send?• Imagine you are speaking with your boss, colleagues and professional
peers
• How would you convince them to join the Europeana Cloud service?
• What arguments would you need to make?
For example:• Improved ability to share data?
• New way to reach researchers?
• Sustainable service?
2-3 minutes: Brainstorm individually (write your ideas on post-it notes)
10 minutes: Compare ideas within your group
2-3 minutes: Select your Top 3 messages

How will you send the key messages from Round 1?• What supporting materials do you need?
• What channels and methods would you use?

• Social media, press and journal articles, one-on-one meetings
