Conquer the EU!

Game rulesEach player starts the game with their own country. Put the circles on your country, these circles symbolise a castle (2 circles per country). From these castles the teams will go to war with each other.

Round 1: Expansion

Each team chooses a neighbouring territory. If you want to gain a territory you have to indicate it with a circle. During choosing you should put your circle on the border. In a turn, two teams are not allowed to make requests to the same territory. The question master shows a question . There are possible answers marked with A,B,C and D. If the teams answer the question properly, they can invade the territory by putting the circle into it. If they fail to answer the question they have to pick up their circles from the board/map. There are no more than 7 turns. The order of teams can be seen on the board.

Round 2: Division of the free lands

In this part the teams distribute the remaining territories. Teams can invade these territories by answering to a question with a guess. In this part of the game the game master will ask questions which you have to answer with a number. Please write your numbers on a sheet of paper. You have 10 seconds to discuss your suggested number. The team whose number is the closest to the correct answer is the winner. The winner can choose a neighbouring land. If there is no free neighbouring territory, the team can choose from all the other remaining territories. This round ends, when there are no more free territories.

Guessing numbers

Round 3: War

After the division there are no free lands any more. Now the teams can gain territories only by conquering it. In a turn, a team can attack only once (the order of teams is on the board). Teams can indicate an attack by putting a circle on the border of the territory. You can attack only a neighbouring territory! The attacker and the defender must answer the same multiple-choice question. The defender wins if the attacker fails the question. The attacking team wins if they answer the question properly, but the defender fails it. If both of them choose the right answer, they have to answer a guess question. If the attacker team wins, they can invade the territory by changing the defenders circle to their own one.

There is a possibility to attack a castle if that territory is your neighbour. In this case, if you win, the country loses its tower. If you attack it next time and win again, you win not only that territory but all countries which belong to that team.
