Artist Profile: Karine Bouchard

Karine Bouchard’s passion for cremation urns was

sparked by a request to help a friend. Eager to

honor a special request to create an urn for two

friends who had lost a child, Karine combined

her love for ancient glass-blowing with her deep

desire for providing a unique memorial fitting of

a precious life lost too young. Karine has a sixth

sense – a rare genius – for the strengths and

limitations of color, lighting and shape. Her

designs are poetic in tone, with each glass urn

as unique as the person it commemorates.

Karine’s stellar talent and warm humanitarian

spirit have been blended into the formation of

Verre Minuit, Inc., resulting in her magnificent

A love for family and country spurred the founding

of the Davis Whitehall Company. When asked by

a family member to select an urn for a member of

our Armed Forces in Desert Storm, Terry discovered

there were no urns available that memorialized the

person in the right way. He decided to create a

custom designed urn with handcrafted detailing that

met his desire to properly pay tribute to a unique

life. Along the way, he captured the hearts of all

who saw it. By focusing on exceptional quality, hand-

made craftsmanship, and the flexibility to quickly

design images to meet the needs of individual

families, Terry School and the Davis Whitehall

team preserve special memories in a manner not

previously available for cremation. Davis Whitehall

views urn personalization as a ministry, providing

families a sense of healing through the creation

of breathtakingly unique memorial urns.

Artist Profile: Lester Lampert Nationally acclaimed jewelry designer Lester

Lampert has made a name for himself through

exquisite pieces for the rich and famous. He was

commissioned by the City of Chicago to design

the City’s gift presented to Pope John Paul II,

and that this 18K gold sculpted paperweight is

currently on display in the Vatican Museum. In

addition, he has created a number of innovative

designs for museum collections, including the

Field Museum in Chicago. Yet none of his

creations have resonated to him as clearly and

emotionally as the collection created for celebrat-

ing a special life and memorializing a loved one.

With the great loss experienced with the passing

Wilbert’s Personalization Plus images allow families to personalize their loved one’s Triune® series or Venetian®

urn vault with a specially chosen image. The image is framed and applied to the urn vault cover for a dignified display at the graveside. Corresponding images can also be purchased for insertion in Opus™ urns (see page 32).
