Where are the psychology books?
Psychology is a cross-disciplinary subject.
Books on the various aspects of psychology will be shelved in all areas of the library.
To find specific titles in their own particular locations it is essential that you can use the Library Catalogue effectively.
BooksHow are they arranged?
Dewey Decimal Classification (DDC)Middlesex University campus libraries (Hendon, and Trent Park) use the Dewey system.
Each subject has its own subject number as follows:

500 Science, maths and statistics

800 Literature

The Library CatalogueThe library catalogue lists all the material (books, journals etc.) held in all the Middlesex University libraries.
You may borrow from any campus library or, using the catalogue, you may request books from another campus to be sent here for you to collect.

For the first, where the title is fully
known, use Title A-Z

Use the My Account option to see what items you have on loan and to renew them.

How are print journals arranged?
Print Journals are arranged:-
Alphabetically by the exact title of the journal.
Within each title, journals are arranged:
overall by date : volume number : part/issue number
The vast majority of our journals are
now provided electronically and
accessed through the Library Catalogue
