!ver this semester we have strayed from our comfort "ones and e#plored genres outside

$he vocal style of country is very healthy' easily relates to all of the styles and is
appearing in many shows at the moment $he te#t is a vital part of the country style
where the telling of the story is very important $he style is very rela#ed' not overly
pronounced and is generally li&e a conversation through the te#t $echnically the style
re3uires a mid-range laryngeal sit' high tilt and oral twang' which is not to be confused
with nasal twang $here is all the use of a sob 3uality that should be used throughout the
whole vocal range $he support of the pelvic 4oor muscles is also important to have
