Sergeant: Supply Administrator and Logistics Operation Specialist (2009 – Present) Customer support and service for sub-ordinates units and individual sections (e.g. Motor Transport and the Armory) located within unit 2/25. Manage and administer all supply ordering needs for the unit. Ensure all orders placed through GCSS Marine Corps (an Oracle based military logistic system), GSA, and online through military and nonmilitary supply vendors arrive in a timely manner. Also, assisted in funeral and Color Guard presentations and coordination. In addition:

• Helped develop and implement new supply procedures to enhance customer support service • Created more efficient methods for analyzing supply accounts, identifying errors, and provided

individual units with timely corrective actions that resulted in the accountability of over $16.7 million dollars of assets

• Helped in the re-allocation of $7.2 million worth of Marine Corps Equipment. Equipment included weapons, trucks, and other military tracked equipment and gear.

• Reviewed and negotiated spare parts order. Ensured eligibility and verified evidence of approval of contract financing, and progress payments.

• Negotiated and researched prices and supplemental agreements for spare parts, services, and repairs.

• Used risk management techniques and performed analysis in the establishment of a plan to monitor Marine Corps Units (MCU) performance and provided appropriate insight, focused advised, and training to MCUs which were lacking in areas that were considered critical to mission success.

• Personal Effects: On several occasions, supervised the process of personal effects for Marines that became deceased, that were missing due to unauthorized absence, or that were hospitalized. A military officer or staff officer with the assistance of a junior level Marine were typically responsible for physically going through a Marine’s gear, equipment, and personal belongings. Due to conflict of interest, Supply and Logistics Marines could only supervise the process and they ensured that those conducting the actual personal effects were filling out the proper paperwork and following proper Marine Corps procedures and policies. After this stage in the personal effects process, the Marines personal effects were stored in a secured cage, and when necessary, the next of kin was properly notified.

Corporal, E4 – progressing ranks from Private, E1 (2001 – 2005, honorable discharge) Responsible for holding Responsible Officers accountable for gear and equipment under their account while serving at 2nd LAR Bn, Camp Lejeune, NC. In total, there were 16 Responsible Officers in the unit. Also, served as member of the Security Force unit while deployed to Iraq in 2003. In addition:

• Helped account for $10 million worth of gear, equipment, vehicles, and weapons. Held military officers accountable for military gear and equipment under their responsibility. If a discrepancy was discovered and gear was either missing or not being accounted for, an investigation was initiated immediately.

• Helped in the import and export process of military gear and equipment leaving the United States and being exported to Kuwait in 2003. In addition, helped in the planning, coordination, and execution aspect of the exportation process (as well as in the importation process) of the military gear and equipment. Over ten million dollars worth of military gear and equipment made it to its destination with very minimum damage, and zero percent loss of inventory. During this process, the team ensured that it was following strict military, US, and Kuwait Customs policies.
