ESCAMBIA COUNTY 4-H DAY CAMPS

4-H Camp Timpoochee June 3-7

Ages: 8-13

Limit 65 Youth; $150

Located in Niceville, FL on the Choctawhatchee Bay, this overnight camp is

a place to grow, learn about nature, and make new friends. This week is

full of learning and fun activities such as kayaking, swimming, recreational

games, campfires, archery, dancing, and much more. It is guaranteed to

provide youth with an exciting adventure! A daily snack from the canteen

and a summer camp t-shirt are included in the camp fee, along with three

nutritious meals per day prepared on site by food safety trained staff.

Beginner Sewing Day Camp June 11 and 13; 9am-3pm

Ages: 10+

Limit 15 Youth; $20

This beginners level camp will allow youth to become comfortable using a

sewing machine. Youth can choose to make pillows or t-shirt tote bags.

Cloverbud Day Camp June 12 and 14; 9am-12pm

Ages: 5-7

Limit 15 Youth; $20

This camp for 5-7 year olds will provide hands-on learning opportunities

such as crafts, cooking, games, and much more. Parents are invited to stay

and attend the camp with their children. Youth ages 5-7 learn best through

group project learning experience, so come prepared for two days full of

group learning and fun!

Life Skills Day Camp June 18-20; 9am-3pm

Ages: 8+

Limit 20 Youth; $20

This “learn by doing” camp will teach everyday life skills to youth including

but not limited to: cooking, outdoor and safety skills, changing a tire,

woodworking, and banking skills.

Intermediate Sewing Day Camp June 25 and 27; 9am-3pm

Ages: 12+

Limit 15 Youth; $20

This intermediate level camp will allow youth to become proficient using a

sewing machine. Youth will have the opportunity to make pillowcases, tote

bags, and much more!

life skills, make new friends,

and discover new interests.

Registration should be

completed one week before

the camp begins. Youth

should bring their lunch each

day unless noted.

Day camp registration is on a

first come, first served basis

and must be paid in full at

registration.

All youth must meet age

requirements of Florida 4-H

programs. Day camps are

open to youth ages 8-18,

unless otherwise noted, and

youth must be 8 years old by

September 1, 2018 to attend.

ESCAMBIA COUNTY 4-H DAY CAMPS

Tailgate Day Camp July 1-3; 9am-3pm

Ages: 11+

Limit 15 Youth; $40

This camp will allow youth the opportunity to learn about all aspects of

meat, grilling, and food preparation. Youth will use a 14” charcoal grill to

cook beef, pork, poultry, and seafood in an outdoor setting.

Dance Academy Day Camp July 9-11; 9am-3pm

Ages: 8+

Limit 30 Youth; $20

This camp will teach dance to youth including group and line dancing.

This high energy camp will get your child moving and having fun.

Cow Camp July 15-20; 9am-3pm

Ages: 8+

Limit 10 Youth; $20

This camp will allow youth the opportunity to learn about raising and

showing beef cattle. Experience with cattle is highly preferred. Participants

will learn about beef systems, nutrition, care, and showmanship.

Shooting Sports Day Camp July 23 and 25; 9am-3pm

Ages: 8+

Limit 20 Youth; $20

This camp will allow youth to learn state shooting sports standards in a

hands-on environment in two disciplines (archery and air rifle).
