150 km North of Dammam in Saudi Arabia, the Raz Al Zawr industrial city is beingbuilt .

The Raz Al Zawr - Ryad water transmission system is in construction.On site PS1, I.C.C . ( International Cooperation Company for Soil Foundation)located in Al Khobar has been awarded the ground treatment for a main pumphouse.

203 stone columns (6.0 m deep and 800 mm nominal diameter) are to be installedto support the building.

The Vibrolance is mounted free hangingon a crawler crane of 50 t capacity.

The VL18 PTC Vibrolance is powered by a PTC 220 JD Power pack of 242 kWis working with success in this application.

A standby Vibrolance head is on the spot for rapid replacement.(no working time is lost ; wear parts can be replaced)

A PTC Water jetting pump WJ70 with its power pack is providing a jettingflow of 70m3 /h pressure.A water tank is providing the necessary water to the jetting pump.

The present treatment depth is 8 m. The Vibrolance can work with two 5 m extension pipes allowing a maximumtreatment depth of 17 m.

Thanks to the PTC Vibcorder, if after compaction a high pressureof 200 bars is measuredIt corresponds to a SPT of 20 to 25 in between the columns.

During tests the 800 mm diametercolumns of 6 m depth have beenachieved.

The 100 mm dia. crushed stones arebrought to the hole by a wheel loader.
