About Me I am a graphic designer out of southern New Jersey who is inspired by the world that I live in and the places I have traveled. I have an acute eye for elegance and find my inspiration from color, orna-mentation, and nature. I have studied at The Art Institute of Philadelphia where I have nurtured my talents and been rec-ognized five times for my outstanding student work and have been awarded 3 times for it. I am cur-rently interning with Iperdesign in Oaklyn, New Jersey. My constant desire to outdo myself and keep my clients happy has proven successful time and time again and I hope it will continue to do so. Some of the services I provide for my clients are, but is not limited to, include:

•Brand Identity•Package Design•Editorial Design•Advertising•Invitations and flyers

Poster Design

Page 9: Erin's Graphic Design Portfolio

This poster stands at 17x11 inches and is all original artwork. Developed based off of the Art Nouveau era and hand drawn illustrations scanned and then traced into illustrator. The only things that are not original are the typefaces.

Page 10: Erin's Graphic Design Portfolio
Page 11: Erin's Graphic Design Portfolio

This poster was created originally from cut paper techniques, photographed and then live traced in Adobe Illustrator. The only thing that is not original is the Houston Zoo logo.

Page 12: Erin's Graphic Design Portfolio
Page 13: Erin's Graphic Design Portfolio

This poster was designed for a local band from southern New Jersey called Sunday’s Murder. The dates and location are not accurate. The artwork is created from 5 different collaged photographs that were manipulated using Photoshop techniques.

Packaging Design

Page 16: Erin's Graphic Design Portfolio

This is a set that goes along with the Sunday’s Murder poster shown in the section before. The packaging concept was based off of song titles, and lyrics created by the band and conversations had with the singer. The lyics to the songs contain a good amount of imagery as well as an ominous atmosphere in their sound. I wanted to capture the essence of their album by chosing imagery that has a similar feeling .

This set was designed with original artworks created in Adobe Illustrator and decorated with handpainted golden details. This set was meant to appeal to an upscale audience interested in not only the quality but the decorative qualities of the products they buy.

This was a personal project. The motif was based off of a painting of a flower I created. This is what would be a spring collection of a bath and body line meant for teenage girls. The colors were chosen as light and airy based off of the time of the year the product would be out and the audience it is geared to.

Editorial

This was a conceptual magazine cover. As indicated in the piece the magazine would be for collectors and creators of art. The cover is based off of a painter’s mixing board with manipulated images that would be meant to represent the paint and the content of the magazine.

Page 26: Erin's Graphic Design Portfolio
Page 27: Erin's Graphic Design Portfolio

Based on the same concept as the magazine cover previously seen, I cre-ated a table of contents page. The look is grungy, collage, mixed media type. I used scanned images and textures as well as photographs taken by David LaChapelle.

ABOUT DAVID LACHAPELLE

Page 29: Erin's Graphic Design Portfolio

This editorial spread is not a part of the two before. The photography is by David LaChapelle and the design is meant to capture the essence of the photograph but also draw the reader into the text of the article. The colors chosen are extracted right from the photograph and splashed across the page. I tilted the text to put a new effect on the “normal” text of an article. The text also emulates the photograph because like David’s photography it is unique and innovative.

which premiered in 2004. The show features

LaChapelle’s documentary, “Rize” (2005) on

PHOTOGRAPHY

This editorial spread is part of the previous spread. The photography is another by David LaChapelle and the limited text is meant to capture the importance of the photograph and tell a little about the creator of it. Just a small text block to draw more curiosity about the artist.

Logo Design

Page 34: Erin's Graphic Design Portfolio
Page 35: Erin's Graphic Design Portfolio

This logo was designed for the Cathy Savage fitness competitors of Philadelphia, PA. Cathy Savage is an online personal trainer and coach who provides workout schedules and eating guidlines for men and women who are interested in living healthy lifesyles and being the most fit that they can be.

Page 36: Erin's Graphic Design Portfolio

This logo is in the process of being designed for fitness competitor Melissa Toler who was looking for a strong, fit, and fun logo to be the visual respresentation of her brand. She represents fitness, healthy living and the ability to love and accept one’s self.

This logo was designed for a ficticious marketing company. I wanted to design a strong logo that would represent the company’s desire and ability to meet whatever marketing goals the company’s clients would want. The logo expresses strength, desire and need to meet the customer’s needs without giving up until complete satisfaction is accomplished.

Page 37: Erin's Graphic Design Portfolio

This logo was designed for a ficticious high-end teen bath and body line. The logo is a simple flower design complimented with a soft typeface representing the company name. The logo represents beauty and cleanliness while remaining “cute” enough to pull in the eye of teenage girls who are looking for nice spa products.

Miscellaneous

Page 40: Erin's Graphic Design Portfolio
Page 41: Erin's Graphic Design Portfolio

This was a personal project based off of the concept of “Un Jour de Cuisine FranÇais” or One Day of French Cuisine. Each card contains a recipe for a meal or snack that would appear in one day that the French would eat. There are 6 cards to introduce the set to the cook, one for breakfast, lunch, appetizer, dinner and desert. Each card contains ingredients, directions, and a notes section.

Page 42: Erin's Graphic Design Portfolio

These are the backsides of the cards. Each one illustrates a larger photograph and a title of what each one’s recipe is.

This set is corporate identity for an independant design firm. Their mission statment said that they aspire to meet your goals by doing the best they can for you until you are satisfied with their product.I designed a logo based on that concept and their name. Using a little man and Adobe Caslon Pro, a strong typface, to give a strong impression of being goal oriented and that of pushing through until the end.

This is another personal peice. I experimented with Photoshop collaging of several images and manipulation to make a unique sureal and science fiction type image.

This picee is an after and before. I took an old victorian mansion and turned into a scary haunted house using Photoshop brushes, cloning, color adjustments, collaging, and other effects.

This piece is a calender created from a mini booklet I made from cut paper and then scanned into the computer. It is meant as a decoration and a date keeper. As one can see from the image the piece is an accordian booklet that opens up long ways reading from January to December for one full year. Each image is a different step in the girl’s journey over the moon. The calender dates slide up from behind each image to display itself as one full month. It can be hung up or displayed on a long shelf.
