Community Benefits Agreement
• Purpose: to hold the developer accountable for providing stated community goals in exchange for sustained community involvement and support
• Scope: A contractual agreement between the Equity Enterprises development team and the West Atlantic community
• Binding agreement that is directly enforceable by its signatories
• Over 300 construction-phase jobs- Subcontractors required to hire a percentage of workers
from local community for employment- On-the-job training
• 267 permanent, full-time equivalent jobs:- 136 office jobs- 125 retail jobs- 6 residential management jobs
• Community Incubator Spaces- Support for Start-up Local Entrepreneurs
