NUDE FOOD CHALLENGE

At Meadow Heights Primary School

we have been running our Waste

Wise Wednesday challenge over a

year now.

Waste Wise Wednesday has been

successful in reducing the rubbish we put in our bins, but we

want to reduce our waste even more!

That’s why we will be changing to a NUDE FOOD

challenge, happening on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, this

term.

So what is Nude Food?

Nude food is where you bring your snacks and lunch only in

reusable packaging and bottles. No wrapping, plastic, cling

wrap, no juice cartons and so on (you get the idea). Classes

with the most students who have Nude Food containers at

Lunch time will win a Golden Garden Gnome! for their class-

room

SCHOOL’S GOT TALENT

An exciting event is going to happen at

Meadow Heights Primary School on

Wednesday August 17th. This event is a

talent show – Meadow Height’s Primary School’s Got Talent and will be held in the Performing Arts

and Media Centre. There will be two shows: 9:30am – 11am

and 11:30 – 1pm. Our Glee Club as well as some students

across the school have been selected to perform a range of

acts. We urge parents and caregivers to come along and see

the tremendous talent we have at our school.

2016 Parent Opinion Survey Please remember to return your Survey no later than Friday (for those who received one). Many parents have already returned their Survey and we thank them very much. A random draw will be held for all the parents who returned their surveys and a special gift will be given from the Principal.

MHPS 2016 Writing Competition

In term 2, students at MHPS participated in the annual writing competition. The standard of writing was very high, and the judges had a

difficult time choosing the winners! Congratulations to the following students who were presented with their certificates at this

week’s assembly.

A couple of students from Year 5/6 were discussing the theme

of the story 'The Bogtrotter'. They discussed the theme and

a connection they made to themselves about an idea from the book. Well done Talia and

Xử ly chât thai 1 cach khôn ngoan vao ngay Thư Tư đa thanh công trong viêc giam rac cho trương, nhưng chung tôi còn muôn giam bơt chât rac

thai nhiêu hơn nưa! Đo la ly do tai sao chung tôi tô chưc ngay NUDE FOOD CHALLENGE vao cac ngay Thứ Ba va Thứ Tư, trong hoc ky

انتباه لكافة االهالي والمربين :

نود تذكير كافة االهالي بان عليهم العبور عن طريق المشاة عند استالم اطفالهم من المدرسة في

نهاية الدوام المدرسي حيث راقبت الكثير من االهالي يعبرون الشارع

المزدحم مع ان ممر المشاة للعبور اليبعد سوى امتار. الرجاء لسالمة االطفال نرجو ان تعبروا عبر

الممر المخصص للمشاة .

نشكركم مقدما على تعاونكم للحفاظ على سالمة الطالب وتعليمهم على قوانين العبور بامان عبر

ممر العبور المدرسي .

زاوية المكتبة المدرسية: الرجاء من االهالي التاكد من اعادة كافة الكتب المستعارة من قبل اطفالكم

منافسة االغذية الغير المغلفة : تقوم مدرسة ميدو هايتس االبتدائية بمنافسة الحكمة بالتخلص

من النفايات في ايام االربعاء حيث نجحت المنافسة بتقليل النفايات

في حافظات الزبالة في الصفوف لهذا السبب سوف نقوم بتغيير المنافسة الى تحدي االكالت الغير

المغلفة والذي سيقام في ايام الثالثاء واالربعاء من كل اسبوع حيث

على الطالب احضار االكل في حافظات حيث يفضل عدم احضار اي شى مغلف وكذلك عدم احضار

العصائر المعلبة في الكارتونات .ان الطالب اللذين لديهم اكبر عدد من حافظات االكل في اوقات

الغذاء سوف يربحون ايقونة الحديقة الذهبية لصفهم وشكرا .

. وهذا الحدث هو عرض المواهب لمدرسة ميدو هايتس االبتدائية . 0/71/76102االربعاء

شة 1:91سوف يقام في اليديا سنت وغرفة الفن ز سوف يكون هناك عرضان االول في الساعة

مساء . حيث تم اختيار طالب من كافة الصفوف ليقومونا بعرض 0:11_00:91والثاني الساعة

مواهبهم وكذلك تم اختيار ايضا اعضاء من نادي كلي . نشجع االهالي والمربين لمشاهدة
