Procedures in the Use of Film & TV as a Supplementary

Prepare the classroom. Darken the room. Student should seat not too far from the screen. (Note: The number of INCHES of the screen means NO STUDENT FARTHER than that. e.g 24-inch screen means no students farther than 24 feet.)

Pre-viewing Activities. Set goals and objectives. Link the lesson to your pervious topics. Put the film/TV in context. Give a brief background. Provide synopsis if necessary.

Viewing.Don’t interrupt. Make sure that the sights and sounds are clear.

Post-viewing.Ask questions like, “What do you like best in the film?”, “Does the film makes you wonder? doubt? Or “What question are you asking about the film?”. Tackle questions given by students in the initial stage. Involve the rest of the class. Process the entire activity by asking the student what they learned. Summarized the lesson properly.
