1. What did we do to protect environmental in Staszów ?

What is it environmental

protection ? Environmental protection is a practice of protecting the natural environment on individual, organizational or governmental levels, for the benefit of the natural environment and humans. Due to the pressures of population and technology, the biohysical environment is being degraded, sometimes permanently. This has been recognized, and governments have begun placing restraints on activities that cause environmental degradation. Since the 1960s, activity of environmental movements has created awareness of the various environmental issues. There is no agreement on the extent of the environmental impact of human activity, and protection measures are occasionally criticized.

In Staszów it was built Local Sport Centre. Inside this building it is swimming pool and gym which charge energy from solar collectors. What is more it was constructed modern gas boiled room.

In the last few years it was created many parks, which makes people closer to nature. Parks on Adam Bień Street and near Czarna river attract a lot of teenagers because of its relaxing atmosphere.

Staszów citizens can collect rubbish because there are so many colourful containers for rubbish using for recycling. Green tank is for glass, yellow for plastic, blue for paper.

At schools are organized actions helping protect out environment by collecting batteries and wastepaper. In addition in shops there are gathering aluminium cans. This way amount of collected rubbish usung to recycling process is rising.

Near Staszów is working power station “Połaniec”. It makes our air clearly   desulphurisating flue gas.

In Staszów it is realized European Union project making ground less polluted by sludge. Every houses especially in the countryside are connected to sever drain.

All public buildings in Staszów were insulated increasing comfort, relaxation and decreasing heat losses in that buildings.

2. What can we do in the future to protect environmental in Staszów ?

In Rzędów near Staszów is going to be built modern landfill for rubbish preventing pollution penetration to the ground.

Staszów is very old city. We have beautiful city hall, church built in 1342 and old streets. Unfortunatelly because of lack of bypass a lot of cars passes through historic part of the city destroying the monuments.

We ought to rebuilt sewage-farm. Using nowadays technology caused formation solid waste which is forbidden by European Union.
