+Entrepreneurship is a Specialized Program that completes the solid fundaments of general business knowledge previously acquired during the Core MBA+ experience at IE. The option of studying the Specialized Program as an independent program is only available to IE Master alumni and MBA Alumni from universities accredited by AMBA, AACSB or EQUIS.
This course provides every aspiring entrepreneur with the tools to develop a successful business model and to understand the key factors and drivers for the success of a new company.

The +Entrepreneurship module starts in September or in January. It can be taken in English, blended format, or Spanish, face-to-face biweekly format.
INTRODUCTION
The dynamics behind doing business in the twenty first century cannot be fully understood without recognizing the significant impact of towards entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship is also directly related to the history of IE, being embedded in its core values and in all of its programs since the school was founded in 1973.
The +Entrepreneurship Module intends to boost this spirit and bring the most relevant and updated practices of this knowledge to the plane of part-time learning.
Students will have the opportunity to learn how to navigate in today’s innovative world, while retaining that creative edge that allows entrepreneurs to succeed in establishing sustainable local and global businesses.

CARRER DEVELOPMENTBy the end of the period, all students, individually or in groups, will have a fully developed Business Plan ready to pitch to possible partners, clients and/or investors. More importantly, they will be also prepared to identify and take advantage of business opportunities that might emerge throughout their career lives.
Despite that, an increasing number of organizations, ranging from startups to multinationals, now count on individuals committed to the use of entrepreneurial tools and mindset to succeed in projects involving business development.

Students will have the opportunity to collaborate with like-minded colleagues with similar ambitions to create their own ventures. RESIDENTIAL WEEKSThe face-to-face periods will be held at the beginning and the end of the program and are mandatory. During these intensive periods, students will participate in activities that require physical presence and are specifically designed to provide students with the necessary competencies and skills needed to become a successful business leader. Students will take assessment tests and present and defend their business plans which consolidate the work covered throughout the entire program.
One of the face-to-face periods will be held in Shanghai or Sao Paulo during which students will be immersed in the world of Entrepreneurship. During visits to influential enterprises, students will have the opportunity to interact and network with top executives, whilst learning about the latest challenges and opportunities in BRIC countries.

BLENDED EXPERIENCEIE’s blended methodology consists of combining intense, short face-to-face periods with interactive online periods. This allows cross-cultural teams to work on global projects regardless of their geographic location. The content of the program is delivered on the Virtual Campus that runs actively 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Complementing the online forum discussions, participants work with a variety of digital distance learning tools, including video conferencing, instant messenger and access to online documents VOIP.

ADMISSIONS PROCESSWe are looking for candidates with managerial experience, strong academic ability and great people skills. The admission process for the +Entrepreneurship module forms part of the application process when a candidate is being considered for admission to the Executive MBA+ or Global MBA+ programs. If the language of the +Module differs from that of the chosen Core MBA+, our Admissions Committee requires that each candidate demonstrate their language proficiency during the admission interview. Candidates may also might be asked to provide TOEFL (or similar exam) results.
