I am Sampa Ghosh, born in the city of Kolkata as a normal child. By the age of six I started to loose my vision owing to nystagmus, a rare neural disease without any treatment. Before I reached the age of eleven, my vision had severely reduced to minimal and by the age of fourteen the entire world around me sunk into deep darkness.

Since my childhood I have always been extremely passionate towards danc-ing and never allowed my inabilities to take control over my pursuit for excel-lence. Conquering my blindness, I completed my senior diploma in Kathak dance from Sangeet Prayag Samiti of Lucknow under the training of Guru Smt. Nandini Sinha. Since then I have been learning under the guidance of internationally famous guru Smt. Rani Karnaa and have received several prizes in di�erent competitions held across India. While representing NAB (Kolkata), I consistently received prizes in All India Dance Competition organized by Amway Opportunity Foundation.

Having born in a low middle class business family I took early interest in seeing myself self employed by trying o u t several avenues most of which hit the road blocks even b e f o r e those could set o�. But this could never discourage my will to succeed and once I completed the basic courses in c o m p u t e r application supported by Amway Opportunity Foundation by securing �rst place with 78% marks that my dreams took a clear shape.

At present I own a Computer sales and services busi-ness at Kolkata with the name Allware Technologies (www.digicure.in) and also bought a business place from my earnings. I am also the only LIC agent (female)

in India with complete blindness.

I have a strong desire to work for the trailing part of the society that I belong to by uniting the will and e�orts of like-minded people.

I’m Jagadeeswaran M, from Pilathu village, Dindigul District, Tamilnadu. I live along with my parents and two younger sisters.

Even though I have a sight problem namely Retinitis Pigmentoza since my birth, my vision got deterio-rated by the age of 25, and after that within six months I lost my sight to maximum extent.

I have done my graduation in Mathematics as well as Diploma in Computer Applications. I got to know about the job opportunity in Indian Association for the Blind (IAB), Madurai. I was interviewed by former General Secretary Mr. Jinnah and Vice Secretary Ms. Paunthai and �nally got selected as a Math-ematics teacher as well as Computer teacher at Computer Centre supported by Amway Opportunity Foundation.

During my tenure in IAB, apart from teaching, I took part in various activities, projects & programmes. I would proudly say that exposure in IAB was really the turning point in my career. In addition, I was able to enhance my interpersonal skills, leadership quality, being self dependent by procuring mobility, potential and opportunity to prepare competitive exams, and many more.

There is no doubt that my computer literacy takes essential part in my job pro�le. I am indebted to IAB and AOF for having provided me an opportunity to service .

Right now, I am working as an Assistant Manager in Indian Overseas Bank. Also, I got through the various examinations such as IBPS Probationary O�cer in SBI, Assis-tant in SBI, TNPSC Group II, TNPSC GROUP IV AND Tamilnadu Teacher’s Eligibility Test.

An Amway distributor can engage in other business/professional activity, but he/she must not use Amway Distributors/ activities/events to promote his non Amway business/profession and must not hard sell the same to other Amway distributors.

The priority of any Amway Business Owner would be establish and grow his/her Amway business. For the same, they would need to focus on channelizing their time and resources to continue to retail the Amway products, present the business opportunity, as well as plan for their business building activities in consultation with the upline and Leaders. With the above in mind, and also with a view to safeguard the interest of the larger ABO community, Amway does not allow ABOs to use its various platforms to promote any non-Amway selling activity.

What this essentially means is that any ABO who is personally involved in selling any products other than the Amway Products; who personally participates in any non-Amway selling activity or who sells services like tax services, insurance, investments etc. will not sell such products or services to another ABO or will persuade another ABO to participate in any other non-Amway selling activity and/or to sell such products, literature, sales aids, or services to any ABO.

Under this Rule, ABOs may not try to promote and expand their non-Amway businesses by- taking advantage of an activity organised especially to promote Amway Products or the Amway business, - taking undue benefit of any other ABO’s efforts or resources, - Using their knowledge of, or association with, other ABOsTo do so is an unreasonable interference in the business of other ABOs.

The same Rule also applies in case of a husband and wife Distributorship. As you are aware, a husband and wifeare considered to operate their Amway Distributorship as a single entity regardless of whether both their namesare registered on the Distributorship. Therefore, each is held accountable for the actions of the other so far as theRules are concerned. If one of the spouses elects to resign from their Amway business, he/she must not take advantage of his/her association with other ABOs to promote and expand his/her non-Amway business. In theinterest of protecting the business and the interests of the larger ABO community, Amway reserves the right totake appropriate action against the remaining ABO’s Distributorship.
