Will your path lead you to being our next Entrepreneur Of The Year?
EY Entrepreneur Of The Year recognises the accomplishments of business leaders behind entrepreneurial businesses of all shapes and sizes – private or listed, family owned or private equity backed, corporate or social enterprise.
The award celebrates talent at any stage of a business’s development. Take time to pause and think about all that you have achieved on your path to success, the impact that you and your team have had and are having, and the inspiration that entrepreneurial thinkers like you are having on those who will follow in your footsteps.
Steps to success
1 Complete an entry form: eoy.co.uk by 6 March 2015
2 Submit copies of your two most recent sets of audited accounts
3 Good luck!
Businesses
► The business leader should have the passion, vision and the drive to succeed. They should be a compelling leader who embodies entrepreneurial spirit and who isn’t afraid to take risks to drive their business forward.
► The business leader risks a significant personal financial stake in the business, either directly or via share options.
► The business leader needs to be responsible for their company’s success and will have been in post a minimum of two years as of 1 January 2015.
► The business must be based or have their chief operations in the UK and be incorporated for two years as of 1 January 2015.
Social Enterprise
► The business leader will run a social enterprise that trades for social and/or environmental purposes.
► As with all businesses, the social enterprise competes to deliver goods and services but is distinctive because its social and/or environmental purpose is absolutely central to what it does.
► The social enterprise is a viable trading organisation and needs to make a profit to be sustainable. It is not driven by the need to maximise profit for shareholders and owners. Its profits are reinvested in the business or are invested in the community to sustain and further their mission for positive change.
► Importantly, it does not solely rely on income from grants, donations or other charitable sources.

“For our company and my contribution to be recognised by the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year awards is an enormous honour. For my and Howard ’s hard work turning the Ambassador Theatre Group into a world leader in our sector to be acknowledged is enormously pleasing.
I have the support of a fantastic team at ATG who share our vision and desire to make our company the best, across not just the UK but the rest of the world too. The arts - and particularly theatre - are too often overlooked as not making a significant contribution to the wider economy. These awards, and ATG’s fantastic British success story, prove this is not the case.”
