Lapland Hotel Saaga is regarded as one of the

most diverse hotels in Lapland because it com-

bines fantastic views and the variety of

tion in the heart of the Ylläsjärvi ski resort. Whi-

LUOSTOIn the Luosto ski resort you can enjoy relaxed skiing

on our seven slopes and powder snow runs. All slope

activities conveniently revolve around the slope

restaurant Ski-Knööli. From the terrace you observe the

snow park and the children’s toboggan slope. You can

enjoy your own snacks at the Nunnuka Lappish hut at the

bottom station of the Aurinko-lift.

FOR THE WHOLE FAMILYLuosto is great for children: The family slope is a safe

place to learn the basics of skiing. There is a well

maintained cross-country network of 150 km for cross

country skiers, also a route from Luosto to Pyhä via

YLLÄSThe slopes of Ylläs, the largest ski resort in Finland,

afford an amazing view to the other majestic fells of the

Pallas-Ylläs National Park. Ylläs-Ski is divided into four

skiing areas of different challenge levels: Varkaankuru,

Family Slopes, Front Slopes and Aurinkokuru, which

consists of 11 slopes alone. The crosscountry trails in Ylläs

cover 330 km and offer excellent settings from the early

winter all the way to the late spring.

that serve both snacks and delicious meals. There is also

a Ski Shop where you can find clothing and equipment of

PALLAS In Pallas you can enjoy cross-country skiing, go camping

and ski in the amazing national landscape instructed

by the second oldest ski school in Finland. Ski school

Pallaksen Pöllöt is offers a combination of cross-country

skiing, fell excursions, skiing and ski resort programmes

As a customer you are able to take part in the planning of

the weekly programme.

LOVELY SPRING SNOWThe extent of our mechanically maintained cross-country

ski track network is approximately 200 km, and some

of the tracks enter the National Park area. Popular

destinations for skiers include Nammalkuru, Vuontispirtti,

Raattama, Jeris, Olos and Torassieppi. The highlight of

the spring is covering the leg between Hetta and Pallas.

Near the hotel you will also find tracks of 3.5 km and 10

OLOSOlos is a paradise for cross-country skiers, but it’s also

great for downhill skiing with it’s 10 maintained slopes.

The cross-country network covers 250 km in the varying

terrains of Olostunturi, Särkijärvi, Lake Jerisjärvi and

Muonio.

LONGEST CROSS-COUNTRY SEASONWe will open the first cross-country trails made with snow

cannons when the first frosts appear in October. The

‘first snow tracks’ are opened immediately after the first

snowfall in October-November. On the “warm track” you

can practice within the shelter of the woods where it is

always warmer. The length of lighted tracks is 30 km. Our

novelty at Olos is an 8-kilometre scenic track that stays

in the forest. Our ski school will be glad to help you get

started with cross-country skiing!
