Derek Podgorni Senior Director of Product Management at DialogicTopic: Service Customization and Agility: Extracting Opportunity from the Signaling PlaneThe Diameter Signaling Controller (DSC) is playing a key role in helping service providers deliver seamless data services across mobile, fixed and IPX networks and positioning them fordelivery of IP voice for IMS and VoLTE applications.
Derek Podgorni is responsible for next generation signaling platform initia-tives. Derek joined Dialogic most recently from Acme Packet / Oracle where he was Director Product Management for Core Signaling including the Acme Packet Diameter Director (DSC) and he has launched numerous products in the telecommunications industry throughout his greater than 15 year career in the space. Derek has also held positions at Sonus Networks, 3Com and other data and telecom startups. Derek received his MS Computer Science degree from Boston University and also holds a BS degree in electrical engineering from the University of New Hampshire.

Oli Carter has been with Metaswitch for 14 years, the last seven of which have been spent on the SBC product line. Oli was a member of the team that found-ed DC-SBC and has fulfilled a number of different roles, including managing the development team and product management for both DC-SBC and Pe-rimeta. Currently he works as a product manager for the Perimeta product, with responsibility for the roadmap of that product.Oli graduated from Cambridge University with a MSci in Natural Sciences (Physics). Prior to joining Metaswitch he spent 18 months at Matra Marconi Space designing the next generation of satellite communication processors.
Michael DüserConverged Network & Infrastructure (Lab-Net) at Deutsche TelekomTopic: A glimpse into the future – from an innovator’s perspective
Michael Düser is Research & Innovation Director at Telekom Innovation Lab-oratories, Berlin, Germany, where he is responsible for network architecture and modelling activities. His research is concerned with the technical and economic analysis of broadband networks, in particular IP and transport net-work architectures for access and core networks. His work includes traffic analysis and modelling, as well as network and content delivery optimization. New research activities extend into the area of business modelling and ap-plication of virtualization principles in carrier networks. He has been with Deutsche Telekom in various functions since 2004. Michael Düser holds a Dipl.-Ing. degree (Electrical & Electronic Engineering, 1998) from the Technical University of Dortmund, Germany, a Ph.D. (Electrical & Electronic Engineering, 2003) from University College London, UK, and an Executive MBA (2009) from ESCP Europe in Paris, France.
