The Holy 2reat One ill come forth from His delling/

4 And the eternal 2od ill tread upon the earth/ 5e1en6 on 7ount #inai/

*And appear from His camp,

And appear in the strength of His might from the hea1en of hea1ens.

8 And all shall e smitten ith fear

And the 9atchers shall :uake/

And great fear and tremling shall sei;e them unto the ends of the earth.

< And the high mountains shall e shaken/

And the high hills shall e made lo/And shall melt like a! efore the flame

= And the earth shall e holly rent in sunder/

And all that is upon the earth shall perish/

And there shall e a >udgement upon all 5men6.

? But ith the righteous He ill make peace.

And ill protect the elect/

And mercy shall e upon them.

And they shall all elong to 2od/And they shall e prospered/

And they shall all e lessed.

And He ill help them all/

And light shall appear unto them/

Of all the orks of their ungodliness hich they ha1e ungodly committed/

And of all the hard things hich ungodly sinners ha1e spoken against Him.

+ Oser1e ye e1erything that takes place in the hea1en/ ho they do not change their orits/ and the

luminaries hich are in the hea1en/ ho they all rise and set in order each in its season/ and 0 transgress

not against their appointed order. Behold ye the earth/ and gi1e heed to the things hich take place upon it

from first to last/ ho steadfast they are/ ho none of the things upon earth 3 change/ ut all the orks of

2od appear to you. Behold the summer and the inter/ ho the hole earth is filled ith ater/ and clouds

and de and rain lie upon it.

Oser1e and see ho 5in the inter6 all the trees seem as though they had ithered and shed all their

lea1es/ e!cept fourteen trees/ hich do not lose their foliage ut retain the old foliage from to to threeyears till the ne comes.

And again/ oser1e ye the days of summer ho the sun is ao1e the earth o1er against it. And you seek

shade and shelter y reason of the heat of the sun/ and the earth also urns ith groing heat/ and so you

cannot tread on the earth/ or on a rock y reason of its heat.

+ Oser1e ye ho the trees co1er themsel1es ith green lea1es and ear fruit" herefore gi1e ye heed and

kno ith regard to all His orks/ and recogni;e ho He that li1eth for e1er hath made them so. 0 And allHis orks go on thus from year to year for e1er/ and all the tasks hich they accomplish for Him/ and their

tasks change not/ ut according as 2od hath ordained so is it done. 3 And ehold ho the sea and the ri1ers

in like manner accomplish and change not their tasks from His commandments@.

4 But ye -ye ha1e not een steadfast/ nor done the commandments of the Cord/

But ye ha1e turned aay and spoken proud and hard ords

9ith your impure mouths against His greatness.

Oh/ ye hard-hearted/ ye shall find no peace.

8 Therefore shall ye e!ecrate your days/

And the years of your life shall perish/

And the years of your destruction shall e multiplied in eternal e!ecration/

And ye shall find no mercy.

g There shall e sal1ation unto them/ a goodly light.

$ And for all of you sinners there shall e no sal1ation/

> But on you all shall aide a curse.

=a But for the elect there shall e light and >oy and peace/

antimony/ and the eautifying of the eyelids/ and all kinds of costly stones/ and all 0 colouring tinctures.

And there arose much godlessness/ and they committed fornication/ and they 3 ere led astray/ and ecame

the holy ones of hea1en/ the souls of men make their suit/ saying/ Bring our cause 4 efore the 7ost

High.@ And they said to the Cord of the ages" @Cord of lords/ 2od of gods/ ing of kings/ and 2od of the

ages/ the throne of Thy glory 5standeth6 unto all the generations of the 8 ages/ and Thy name holy andglorious and lessed unto all the ages Thou hast made all things/ and poer o1er all things hast Thou" and

all things are naked and open in Thy sight/ and Thou seest all < things/ and nothing can hide itself from

Thee. Thou seest hat A;a;el hath done/ ho hath taught all unrighteousness on earth and re1ealed the

eternal secrets hich ere 5preser1ed6 in hea1en/ hich = men ere stri1ing to learn" And #em>a;a/ to

hom Thou hast gi1en authority to ear rule o1er his associates. And they ha1e gone to the daughters of

men upon the earth/ and ha1e slept ith the omen/ and ha1e defiled themsel1es/ and re1ealed to them

all kinds of sins. And the omen ha1e +I orne giants/ and the hole earth has therey een filled ithlood and unrighteousness. And no/ ehold/ the souls of those ho ha1e died are crying and making theirsuit to the gates of hea1en/ and their lamentations ha1e ascended" and cannot cease ecause of the laless

deeds hich are ++ rought on the earth. And Thou knoest all things efore they come to pass/ and Thou

seest these things and Thou dost suffer them/ and Thou dost not say to us hat e are to do to them in

regard to these.@

+ Then said the 7ost High/ the Holy and 2reat One spake/ and sent )riel to the son of Camech/ 0 and saidto him" @2o to 'oah and tell him in my name Hide thyself and re1eal to him the end that is approaching"

that the hole earth ill e destroyed/ and a deluge is aout to come 3 upon the hole earth/ and ill

destroy all that is on it. And no instruct him that he may escape 4 and his seed may e preser1ed for all

the generations of the orld.@ And again the Cord said to Raphael" @Bind A;a;el hand and foot/ and cast himinto the darkness" and make an opening 8 in the desert/ hich is in (udael/ and cast him therein. And place

upon him rough and >agged rocks/ and co1er him ith darkness/ and let him aide there for e1er/ and co1er

his face that he may udgement he shall e cast into the fire.

And heal the earth hich the angels ha1e corrupted/ and proclaim the healing of the earth/ that they mayheal the plague/ and that all the children of men may not perish through all the secret things that the ?

9atchers ha1e disclosed and ha1e taught their sons. And the hole earth has een corrupted through the

orks that ere taught y A;a;el" to him ascrie all sin.@ And to 2ariel said the Cord" @Proceed against the

astards and the reproates/ and against the children of fornication" and destroy *the children of fornication

and, the children of the 9atchers from amongst men *and cause them to go forth," send them one against

the other that they may destroy each other in +I attle" for length of days shall they not ha1e. And no

re:uest that they 5i.e. their fathers6 make of thee shall e granted unto their fathers on their ehalfD for they

hope to li1e an eternal life/ and ++ that each one of them ill li1e fi1e hundred years.@ And the Cord said

unto 7ichael" @2o/ ind #em>a;a and his associates ho ha1e united themsel1es ith omen so as to ha1edefiled themsel1es +0 ith them in all their uncleanness. And hen their sons ha1e slain one another/ and

they ha1e seen the destruction of their elo1ed ones/ ind them fast for se1enty generations in the 1alleys of

the earth/ till the day of their >udgement and of their consummation/ till the >udgement that is +3 for e1er

and e1er is consummated. $n those days they shall e led off to the ayss of fire" and +4 to the torment and

the prison in hich they shall e confined for e1er. And hosoe1er shall e condemned and destroyed ill

from thenceforth e ound together ith them to the end of all +8 generations. And destroy all the spirits of

the reproate and the children of the 9atchers/ ecause +< they ha1e ronged mankind. (estroy all rong

from the face of the earth and let e1ery e1il ork come to an end" and let the plant of righteousness and

truth appear" and it shall pro1e a lessingD the orks of righteousness and truth@ shall e planted in truth and

+= And then shall all the righteous escape/

And shall li1e till they eget thousands of children/

And all the days of their youth and their old age

#hall they complete in peace.

+? And then shall the hole earth e tilled in righteousness/ and shall all e planted ith trees and + e

full of lessing. And all desirale trees shall e planted on it/ and they shall plant 1ines on it" and the 1ine

hich they plant thereon shall yield ine in aundance/ and as for all the seed hich is son thereon each

measure 5of it6 shall ear a thousand/ and each measure of oli1es shall yield 0I ten presses of oil. And

cleanse thou the earth from all oppression/ and from all unrighteousness/ and from all sin/ and from all

godlessness" and all the uncleanness that is rought upon the earth 0+ destroy from off the earth. And allthe children of men shall ecome righteous/ and all nations 00 shall offer adoration and shall praise 7e/ and

all shall orship 7e. And the earth shall e cleansed from all defilement/ and from all sin/ and from all

punishment/ and from all torment/ and $ ill ne1er again send 5them6 upon it from generation to generation

and for e1er.

+ And in those days $ ill open the store chamers of lessing hich are in the hea1en/ so as to send 0 them

don upon the earth o1er the ork and laour of the children of men. And truth and peace shall e

associated together throughout all the days of the orld and throughout all the generations of men.@

+ Before these things Enoch as hidden/ and no one of the children of men kne here he as 0 hidden/and here he aode/ and hat had ecome of him. And his acti1ities had to do ith the 9atchers/ and his

days ere ith the holy ones. 3 And $ Enoch as lessing the Cord of ma>esty and the ing of the ages/

and lo the 9atchers 4 called me -Enoch the scrie- and said to me" @Enoch/ thou scrie of righteousness/

go/ declare to the 9atchers of the hea1en ho ha1e left the high hea1en/ the holy eternal place/ and ha1e

defiled themsel1es ith omen/ and ha1e done as the children of earth do/ and ha1e taken unto themsel1es

8 i1es" Je ha1e rought great destruction on the earth" And ye shall ha1e no peace nor forgi1eness < ofsin" and inasmuch as they delight themsel1es in their children/ The murder of their elo1ed ones shall they

see/ and o1er the destruction of their children shall they lament/ and shall make supplication unto eternity/ut mercy and peace shall ye not attain.@

+ And Enoch ent and said" @A;a;el/ thou shalt ha1e no peace" a se1ere sentence has gone forth 0 against

thee to put thee in onds" And thou shalt not ha1e toleration nor re:uest granted to thee/ ecause of the

unrighteousness hich thou hast taught/ and ecause of all the orks of godlessness 3 and unrighteousness

and sin hich thou hast shon to men.@ Then $ ent and spoke to them all 4 together/ and they ere allafraid/ and fear and tremling sei;ed them. And they esought me to dra up a petition for them that they

might find forgi1eness/ and to read their petition in the presence 8 of the Cord of hea1en. For from

thenceforard they could not speak 5ith Him6 nor lift up their < eyes to hea1en for shame of their sins for

hich they had een condemned. Then $ rote out their petition/ and the prayer in regard to their spirits

and their deeds indi1idually and in regard to their = re:uests that they should ha1e forgi1eness and length.

And $ ent off and sat don at the aters of (an/ in the land of (an/ to the south of the est of Hermon" $

read their petition till $ fell ? asleep. And ehold a dream came to me/ and 1isions fell don upon me/ and $

sa 1isions of chastisement/ and a 1oice came idding 5me6 $ to tell it to the sons of hea1en/ and reprimandthem. And hen $ aaked/ $ came unto them/ and they ere all sitting gathered together/ eeping in +I

+ The ook of the ords of righteousness/ and of the reprimand of the eternal 9atchers in accordance 0

ith the command of the Holy 2reat One in that 1ision. $ sa in my sleep hat $ ill no say ith a

tongue of flesh and ith the reath of my mouth" hich the 2reat One has gi1en to men to 3 con1ersethereith and understand ith the heart. As He has created and gi1en to man the poer of understanding

the ord of isdom/ so hath He created me also and gi1en me the poer of reprimanding 4 the 9atchers/

the children of hea1en. $ rote out your petition/ and in my 1ision it appeared thus/ that your petition ill

not e granted unto you throughout all the days of eternity/ and that >udgement 8 has een finally passed

upon you" yea 5your petition6 ill not e granted unto you. And from henceforth you shall not ascend into

hea1en unto all eternity/ and in onds of the earth the decree < has gone forth to ind you for all the days ofthe orld. And 5that6 pre1iously you shall ha1e seen the destruction of your elo1ed sons and ye shall ha1e

no pleasure in them/ ut they shall fall efore = you y the sord. And your petition on their ehalf shall

not e granted/ nor yet on your on" e1en though you eep and pray and speak all the ords contained in

the riting hich $ ha1e ? ritten. And the 1ision as shon to me thus" Behold/ in the 1ision clouds

in1ited me and a mist summoned me/ and the course of the stars and the lightnings sped and hastened me/

and the inds in the 1ision caused me to fly and lifted me upard/ and ore me into hea1en. And $ ent

in till $ dre nigh to a all hich is uilt of crystals and surrounded y tongues of fire" and it egan toaffright +I me. And $ ent into the tongues of fire and dre nigh to a large house hich as uilt ofcrystals" and the alls of the house ere like a tesselated floor 5made6 of crystals/ and its groundork as

++ of crystal. $ts ceiling as like the path of the stars and the lightnings/ and eteen them ere +0 fiery

cheruim/ and their hea1en as 5clear as6 ater. A flaming fire surrounded the alls/ and its +3 portals

la;ed ith fire. And $ entered into that house/ and it as hot as fire and cold as ice" there +4 ere no

delights of life therein" fear co1ered me/ and tremling got hold upon me. And as $ :uaked +8 and tremled/

$ fell upon my face. And $ eheld a 1ision/ And lo there as a second house/ greater +< than the former/

and the entire portal stood open efore me/ and it as uilt of flames of fire. And in e1ery respect it so

e!celled in splendour and magnificence and e!tent that $ cannot descrie to += you its splendour and itse!tent. And its floor as of fire/ and ao1e it ere lightnings and the path +? of the stars/ and its ceiling

also as flaming fire. And $ looked and sa therein a lofty throne" its appearance as as crystal/ and the

heels thereof as the shining sun/ and there as the 1ision of + cheruim. And from underneath the throne

came streams of flaming fire so that $ could not look 0I thereon. And the 2reat 2lory sat thereon/ and His

raiment shone more rightly than the sun and 0+ as hiter than any sno. 'one of the angels could enter

and could ehold His face y reason 00 of the magnificence and glory and no flesh could ehold Him. The

flaming fire as round aout Him/ and a great fire stood efore Him/ and none around could dra nigh

Him" ten thousand times 03 ten thousand 5stood6 efore Him/ yet He needed no counselor. And the most

holy ones ho ere 04 nigh to Him did not lea1e y night nor depart from Him. And until then $ had een

prostrate on my face/ tremling" and the Cord called me ith His on mouth/ and said to me" @ omehither/ 08 Enoch/ and hear my ord.@ And one of the holy ones came to me and aked me/ and He made me

rise up and approach the door" and $ oed my face donards.

+ And He ansered and said to me/ and $ heard His 1oice" @Fear not/ Enoch/ thou righteous 0 man and

scrie of righteousness" approach hither and hear my 1oice. And go/ say to the 9atchers of hea1en/ hoha1e sent thee to intercede for them" Jou should intercede for men/ and not men 3 for you" 9herefore

ha1e ye left the high/ holy/ and eternal hea1en/ and lain ith omen/ and defiled yoursel1es ith the

daughters of men and taken to yoursel1es i1es/ and done like the children 4 of earth/ and egotten giants

5as your6 sonsK And though ye ere holy/ spiritual/ li1ing the eternal life/ you ha1e defiled yoursel1es ith

the lood of omen/ and ha1e egotten 5children6 ith the lood of flesh/ and/ as the children of men/ ha1e

lusted after flesh and lood as those also do ho die 8 and perish. Therefore ha1e $ gi1en them i1es also

that they might impregnate them/ and eget < children y them/ that thus nothing might e anting to them

on earth. But you ere formerly = spiritual/ li1ing the eternal life/ and immortal for all generations of the

orld. And therefore $ ha1e not appointed i1es for youD for as for the spiritual ones of the hea1en/ in

hea1en is their delling. ? And no/ the giants/ ho are produced from the spirits and flesh/ shall e called

e1il spirits upon the earth/ and on the earth shall e their delling. E1il spirits ha1e proceeded from their

odiesD ecause they are orn from men and from the holy 9atchers is their eginning and primal originD

+I they shall e e1il spirits on earth/ and e1il spirits shall they e called. *As for the spirits of hea1en/ in

hea1en shall e their delling/ ut as for the spirits of the earth hich ere orn upon the earth/ on theearth shall e their delling., And the spirits of the giants afflict/ oppress/ destroy/ attack/ do attle/ and

ork destruction on the earth/ and cause troule" they take no food/ ut ne1ertheless +0 hunger and thirst/and cause offences. And these spirits shall rise up against the children of men and against the omen/

ecause they ha1e proceeded from them.

*hapter +udgement -thus shall they destroy until the day

of the consummation/ the great >udgement in hich the age shall e 0 consummated/ o1er the 9atchers and

the godless/ yea/ shall e holly consummated. And no as to the atchers ho ha1e sent thee to

intercede for them/ ho had een aforetime in hea1en/ 5say 3 to them6" Jou ha1e een in hea1en/ ut all

the mysteries had not yet een re1ealed to you/ and you kne orthless ones/ and these in the hardness of

your hearts you ha1e made knon to the omen/ and through these mysteries omen and men ork much

e1il on earth. 4 #ay to them therefore" Jou ha1e no peace.@

+ And they took and rought me to a place in hich those ho ere there ere like flaming fire/ 0 and/

hen they ished/ they appeared as men. And they rought me to the place of darkness/ and to a mountain

the point of hose summit reached to hea1en. And $ sa the places of the luminaries and the treasuries of

the stars and of the thunder and in the uttermost depths/ here ere 4 a fiery o and arros and their

:ui1er/ and a fiery sord and all the lightnings. And they took 8 me to the li1ing aters/ and to the fire of

the est/ hich recei1es e1ery setting of the sun. And $ came to a ri1er of fire in hich the fire flos likeater and discharges itself into the great sea toards < the est. $ sa the great ri1ers and came to the great

ri1er and to the great darkness/ and ent = to the place here no flesh alks. $ sa the mountains of the

darkness of inter and the place ? hence all the aters of the deep flo. $ sa the mouths of all the ri1ers

of the earth and the mouth of the deep.

+ $ sa the treasuries of all the inds" $ sa ho He had furnished ith them the hole creation 0 and the

firm foundations of the earth. And $ sa the corner-stone of the earth" $ sa the four 3 inds hich ear

*the earth and, the firmament of the hea1en. And $ sa ho the inds stretch out the 1aults of hea1en/ and

ha1e their station eteen hea1en and earth" these are the pillars 4 of the hea1en. $ sa the inds of hea1en

hich turn and ring the circumference of the sun and 8 all the stars to their setting. $ sa the inds on the

earth carrying the clouds" $ sa the paths < of the angels. $ sa at the end of the earth the firmament of the

hea1en ao1e. And $ proceeded and sa a place hich urns day and night/ here there are se1en

mountains of magnificent stones/ = three toards the east/ and three toards the south. And as for those

toards the east/ as of coloured stone/ and one of pearl/ and one of >acinth/ and those toards the south of

red stone. ? But the middle one reached to hea1en like the throne of 2od/ of alaaster/ and the summit ofthe /+I throne as of sapphire. And $ sa a flaming fire. And eyond these mountains $s a region the end

of the great earth" there the hea1ens ere completed. And $ sa a deep ayss/ ith columns of hea1enly

fire/ and among them $ sa columns of fire fall/ hich ere eyond measure alike toards +0 the height

and toards the depth. And eyond that ayss $ sa a place hich had no firmament of the hea1en ao1e/

and no firmly founded earth eneath it" there as no ater upon it/ and no +3 irds/ ut it as a aste and

horrile place. $ sa there se1en stars like great urning mountains/ +4 and to me/ hen $ in:uired

regarding them/ The angel said" @This place is the end of hea1en and earth" this has ecome a prison for thestars and the host of hea1en. And the stars hich roll o1er the fire are they hich ha1e transgressed the

commandment of the Cord in the eginning of +< their rising/ ecause they did not come forth at their

appointed times. And He as roth ith them/ and ound them till the time hen their guilt should e

consummated 5e1en6 for ten thousand years.@

+ And )riel said to me" @Here shall stand the angels ho ha1e connected themsel1es ith omen/ and theirspirits assuming many different forms are defiling mankind and shall lead them astray into sacrificing to

demons as gods/ 5here shall they stand/6 till the day of the great >udgement in 0 hich they shall e >udged

till they are made an end of. And the omen also of the angels ho 3 ent astray shall ecome sirens.@ And

$/ Enoch/ alone sa the 1ision/ the ends of all things" and no man shall see as $ ha1e seen.

+/0 And these are the names of the holy angels ho atch. )riel/ one of the holy angels/ ho is 3 o1er the

orld and o1er Tartarus. Raphael/ one of the holy angels/ ho is o1er the spirits of men. 4/8 Raguel/ one of

the holy angels ho takes 1engeance on the orld of the luminaries. 7ichael/ one < of the holy angels/ to

it/ he that is set o1er the est part of mankind and o1er chaos. #ara:ael/ = one of the holy angels/ ho is

set o1er the spirits/ ho sin in the spirit. 2ariel/ one of the holy ? angels/ ho is o1er Paradise and the
