Fiji offers visitors from over 100 countries around the globe, including the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, “visa-exempt” classification upon arrival in country. The currency in Fiji is the Fiji Dollar (FJD). The electrical current is 240 volts with the same three-pronged outlets found in residences in Australia and New Zealand. Fiji is 12 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time in London and English is the official language of the nation’s 333 islands.
No vaccinations are required upon entry to Fiji, unless a visitor is coming from an area designated by the World Health Organization to be affected by yellow fever and cholera.
With a mild tropical climate, Fiji enjoys an average temperature of 88 degrees Fahrenheit in the summer from November to April, with a dip to only 84 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter, which lasts from May to October.
