Good day to you dear learner. How are you today? Are you in the mood to learn another skill? I hope so. So, let’s have fun. The skill that we will learn today is on drawing conclusions. This is another skill which needs your ability in guessing and giving your conclusions based on the events presented.

After reading the selection, choose the phrase or clause that you think best concludes it. Copy the letter of the correct answer on your answer sheet.

Based on the story you can guess that

On Sundays, it is usual for Tia Maria to be out of the house. What helps you to guess the correct answer? The phrases:

These phrases or groups of words are called signals or clues.

They help us understand the events and finally draw conclusions. Conclusions are guesses or decisions based on the events.

2. Certain germs, not found in healthy chickens, were found in chickens with cholera. When these germs were added to a broth given to healthy chickens, those chickens usually died from cholera.
