    1. These words were said by Elizabeth to Mr Darcy when he proposed to her at

her house. She thought that he had insulted her family as he compared their

families which she considered very humiliating as his family was much higher

than hers. She refused his proposal and tried to insult him in return.

    2. These words were written by Jane in her letter to Elizabeth. She meantCaroline Bingley, who was very rude to Jane in her visit at the Gardiner's.

Jane was disappointed and devastated when she realized that Caroline didn't

want her brother to marry her ( Jane ) .

    3. Elizabeth said these words to Mr. Darcy while they were dancing in a ball at

Netherfield. She tried to attack him by words as she had already formed a

bad idea about him after her talking with Mr. Wickham. She was trying to

arouse his anger as she thought he was a bad man because of what he had

    done to Mr Wickham.

    4. Mr Bennet said these words to his wife at their house while having breakfast.

He tried to tell his family that Mr Collins was coming for dinner as he was

going to inherit their house. Mr Bennet thought that Mr Collins was silly but

he had to receive him as Mr Collins wanted to marry one of the Bennets.

    5. Mrs Bennet said these words to Jane while having breakfast at their house

when she demanded to take the carriage to go to the Bingley's. The mother

refused to give her the carriage and insisted that Jane should take the horse

as it was cloudy and might rain. The mother's plan was that if it rained , Jane

would have to stay for the night at the Bingley's and meet Mr. Bingley in the

    morning.

    1. She acted in a ridiculous way in order to get her daughters married. She urged

her husband to go and meet Mr Bingley. She didn't stop Lydia and Kitty from

behaving in such a silly way which gave a bad impression for the whole

family. She also agreed that Elizabeth would marry Mr Collins although she

didn't like him. She didn't watch her behavior in front of Mr. Darcy and the

Bingleys which affected the relation with her two daughters.

    2. Elizabeth believed that she would marry out of love, that's why she turned

down Mr. Collins' proposal, but Charlotte didn't believe in love and she

accepted Mr Collins as a husband because he had money and a house which

    was enough for her.

    3. Mr Darcy was a real gentleman, who cared about honour and respecting

people although people always prejudiced him as a proud and arrogant man.

He helped Lydia to get married to Wickham after she escaped with him. On

the other hand, Wickham was cunning and deceiving. He deceived Miss

Darcy and tried to escape with her, when he failed, he did the same with

Lydia and in both cases Mr Darcy saved the situation.

    4. That was clearly shown when Jane misjudged Caroline Bingley as she thought

she was nice, kind and that she loved her. On the other side, Elizabeth was

smart enough to realize Caroline's real character and that she was acting in a

    friendly way.

    5. Although Mr Bingley loved Jane, he couldn't reveal his feelings to her. He was

affected by Mr Darcy and Caroline's opinion when they told him that the

    Bennets were inferior to him.
