TEXOPRENE CABLE – TRD FLEXIBLE CABLE WITH ANTITORSION BRAID, BASED ON VDE 0250 PART 814, VOLTAGE 1000VTRD-RTS FLEXIBLE CABLE WITH ANTITORSION BRAID, BASED ON VDE 0250 PART 814, VOLTAGE 1000V
FLEXIBLE REELING CABLE FOR FORCED GUIDED APPLICATIONSFor extra heavy duty reeling, use the TRD-RTS cable!
TRD CONSTRUCTIONFinely stranded tinned copper conductors to VDE 0295, class 5/6 –extruded EPR insulation to VDE 0207 Part 20 – cores laid up with ashort length of lay – bedding in rubber compound 5GM3 –integrated reinforcement braids for various requirements againsttorsional stresses – embedded between inner and outer sheath.Sheathing is of a very high quality, abrasion and tear resistant, utilising a rubber compound which is oil resistant and flameretardant. Max. temperature at conductor + 90 °C.Please Note: Powermite can offer special designs, core constructions, braids andsheath materials required for extraordinary operating conditions which render thecable outside the VDE 0250 specifications.
CORE IDENTIFICATION TO VDE 0293Cable description bearing – O w/o earth coreCable description bearing – J with green/yellow earth coreUp to 5 cores coloured – 6 cores and more black with numbers
APPLICATIONTRD and TRD-RTS cables are suitable for lifting and hoistingequipment, transport and conveyor systems where positive cableguidance is required, especially where simultaneous tensile and/ortorsional stresses via forced guiding occur.Suitable for high mechanical stresses in wet rooms, outdoors, explosion hazardous areas and mines.High tension trailing cables with optional torsion braid, please referto type TRHT on page 8. Ask for installation instruction CA00. T. 001
Texoprene TRD-RTS cables are smaller in diameter and weight than the TRD cables.

TEXOPRENE CABLE – TRHT TRAILING AND DRAGLINE FLEXIBLE CABLE BASED ON VDE 0250 FROM 1 KV - 42 KVTRHT-RTS TRAILING AND DRAGLINE FLEXIBLE CABLE BASED ON IEC-DIN-VDE STANDARD 3 KV - 36 KVREGULATION FOR NO.
FOR EXTREMELY HIGH MECHANICAL AND +TORSIONAL STRESSESCONSTRUCTION
Phase Cores: finely stranded tinned copper conductor – * inner conductivelayer of conductive rubber – insulation of dielectrical and thermal high qualityof ozone resistant EPR – * outer conductive layer of conductive rubber–above is extruded in a special triple extrusion process – optional protectivemetallic screen of mixed braid – max. temperature at conductor + 90 °C.*applied mostly on cables for 6 KV and higher
Earth Core: copper conductor, finely stranded, tinned –a) bare, laid up with phase cores – (E) or b) jacketed with conductive rubber – (SE) orc) EPR insulated – (IE), laid up.Pilot Cores: copper conductors, finely stranded, tinned – insulated withozone resistant EPR – (P), laid up.Inner Sheath: core assembly is bedded into an interstice filling sheath –where specified, a torsional reinforcement is applied.
Outer Sheath: chlorinated rubber like polychloroprene is applied whichintegrates any specified torsional reinforcement. The compound is highlyabrasion, tear and oil resistant as well as flame retardant and uv-stabilised,colour red. Please Note: Powermite can offer special designs, core constructions, integrated fibre optics, extensible pilots, different purpose braids and cold resistance cables and light weight/diameterconstructions. Special designs render cables outside recognised specifications, such as SABS orVDE.
The first letter “N” in a VDE description expresses its approved standard. If the “N” is in brackets(N), it nominates that the cable has affiliations to certain VDE specifications but is not approvedwith a VDE mark.
APPLICATION:TRHT cables are suitable for the power supply of giant mobile equipment e.g.draglines, drillrigs, stackers, reclaimers, shiploaders as found in harbours, steelworks, quarries, open cast or underground mines. Ask for installationinstruction CA00. T. 001
Cables manufactured to VDE0250 can be used on voltages of up to +20% more than the VDE stated nominal voltage.

TEXOPRENE CABLE – TRAILING CABLE TYPES BASED ON SANS 1520. IT COMPLIES WITH THEMINERAL ACT NO. 50/1991 AND ITS REGULATION FOR MINES AND WORKS NO. 27 OF 1956NOMINAL VOLTAGE 3300 V - 11000 V
FOR HEAVY DUTY MECHANICAL STRESSES
CONSTRUCTIONPhase conductors: copper conductors, tinned, finely stranded –semi conductive rubber covered for cables over 6kV - ethylenepropylene insulated - semi conductive rubber covering for cablesover 6kV all extruded in a triple extrusion process - cores arecopper/nylon screen braided - SANS 1411-3.
Pilot/Earth conductors: tinned copper wires EPM insulated -To be used as technically required.Inner sheath: cores laid up and bedded with an interstice fillingsheathing.
Outer sheath: between the inner and outer sheath is, in a bondedway, a torsion braid made of nylon fibres*. The outer sheath consistsof an extra heavy duty CR material, flame retardant, oil, tear andabrasion resistant, uv-stabilised - black.*to increase the torsional stability of the cable, consider stronger braiding material
Please Note: Powermite Mining cables are also available with super fine stranding, cradle center, screening-helically applied, different sheath colours and qualities.
APPLICATION:TRHT cables are used in dry, wet, cold or warm environments asfound indoors and outdoors. It finds application in open cast andunderground mining or mobile machinery such as Loaders, Drills, draglines, shovels, conveyor systems etc.
