Choral Evensong, Schubert's Mass in G This Sunday, May 18, at 5:30 p.m. the Grace-St. Luke's Chancel Choir, with soloists and orchestra, will present Franz Schubert's Mass in G in the context of Choral Evensong. William R. Langley, the Chancel Choir tenor choral scholar, will conduct. As all of you know who have heard our marvelous Chancel Choir, this is a performance you don't want to miss and a perfect opportunity to invite your friends and neighbors to visit GSL! GSL Youth present Levitt Shell Night Child Care Games, activities, snacks, & FUN! Enjoy a night at the Levitt Shell AND support the GSL youth on their summer mission trip while your children enjoy a night at the church! The GSL nursery and youth space will be open 6:30–9:30 p.m. and supervised by the nursery staff & youth trip participants. For children from birth to 11 years old. Belvedere Blvd. 5- 7 p.m. —For more info, visit www.gracestlukes.org/youth-group or contact GSL Youth Minister, Mary Margaret Winn, [email protected] Education for Ministry Graduates This Sunday we recognize our EfM graduates and award their diplomas from The University of the South's School of Theology: Andrew Chamness, Sherry Crone, Dennis Hawkins, Debbie Herr, Debbie McCanless, Brenda Medling, Janie Morris, and Lucy Owens. The four-year course of study covered the Bible, development of the Christian faith over 2,000 years, modern theology and ethics, and the practice of theological reflection. Please be sure to congratulate our graduates! Food Pantry Sunday is the LAST Sunday of the Month! The youth of GSL sponsor a food basket to collect items for the GSL Food Pantry. Donation baskets will be available May 26 at the rear entrance of the church and east vestibule entrance by the sacristy. The most needed items are tuna, jams, canned fruit, toothpaste, and toilet paper.

Vacation Bible School ~ SIGN UP TODAY ~ June 2–June 6Preparations are in full swing for the 2014 Vacation Bible School program at GSL! June 2-6 is the big week

and it's right around the corner! All GSL children (and their friends!) are invited to join the fun as we sing,snack, craft, and play, while learning about the holy men and women whose remarkable lives have helped to shape our Christian faith. Sunday at the Christian education table in Trezevant, or in the nursery downstairs. To assist us in our planning, our goal is to have all our VBS kiddos signed up before May 19. Thank you for your help in making that happen! Can't wait to see all those bright shining faces on June the 2nd!

GSL Night at the Levitt Shell-Mark Your Calendars NOW!Join fellow parishioners for GSL Night at the Levitt Shell, Sunday, June 29, for a FREE concert, as well asFREE food (BBQ from the Germantown Commissary) and beverages hosted by the Fellowship Committee. The event begins at 6:30 p.m. in the hospitality tent followed by the concert at 7:30 p.m. The entertainment for the evening is the summer grand finale concert by the Stax Music Academy. This promises to be a fun community event for all ages. Friends & family invited. The more the merrier!
